Michelle was a young mother when she was kidnapped by a local bus driver named Ariel Castro. For more than a decade, she endured unimaginable torture. In 2003 Amanda Berry joined her in captivity, followed by Gina DeJesus in 2004. Their escape on May 6, 2013, made headlines around the world. In Finding Me, Michelle will reveal her story, and how she has found the courage to now build a life worth living.©2013 Lillian Rose Lee (P)2014 Recorded Books Inc True Crime Inspiring

A beautifully narrated story, such a shockingly sad story about a very courageous young lady.

Shocking.

Wow. Michelle, I wish you the best luck in the world. You deserve so much happiness. plus I hope once Joey reaches 18 he is able to come and find you. That would give you the peace your soul needs just to wrap your arms around your son.
I think I would feel in total limbo if after everything you have gone through you don’t feel his love.
I will keep everything crossed for you that this happens.
And best wishes in your new freedom. Xx

Michelle’s unbelievable strength

Almost unbearable to listen to. What Michelle Knight went through and still found the will to go on (in the hope of seeing her son again, one day) leaves any kind of a feeling person intensely moved. And there are questions: why didn’t they grab the boy and SCREAM from upstairs? And why not pull the trigger, just on the off-chance that there were bullets in the gun? EASY from the outside, of course. There are always reasons on the inside. Otherwise, the reading of Maria Cabezos is excellent, as it is for Maya’s Notebook by Isabel Allende. Bottom line though: did Michelle finally get Joey back, or was she further f****d by the system? I pray that she did and that she is living happily.

Very interesting read and thank you for giving us a snippet into your life.
I really want you to meet with joey in the future.
You are his mother and it won't be long before he reaches the age where he can make his own decisions on weather he gets to meet you.
You're a very strong person and more power to you. All my love x
