Julian Winters makes August's journey through grief and healing so relatable that every moment of his pain was mine, and his sadness and heartbreak made me cry. But at the same time, his healing, his love, his joy became my own too. My heart mended itself alongside his; his laughter brought a smile to my face, and I felt his love as deeply as he did.
Find My Way Down to You is a beautiful exploration of loss, grief, and, eventually, healing. August is deep in his grief when we meet him. He's barely living and just goes through the motions every day. But when he's suddenly drawn into the underworld, it gives him hope. Hope that he gets to see his love again, and hope that he gets to apologize for a loss he thinks is his fault.
