Not for me

Took almost the whole book to find out what caused the rift between the main characters.

It is frustrating to go on and on about the same thing over, and over, and over up until almost the end. And even then you only get to find out completely what happened to one of the main characters.

Both main characters blame each other for their falling out almost until the end.

I seem to be one of the few who didn’t like the story so don’t let my less than stellar review keep you from listening.

The narrators did a good job, the story just wasn’t for me.

Nydia and Mane - a vibrant listen!

This is the first book in the new Luna Harbor series and it is off with a bang! I had the pleasure of reading this book before listening to the audio version. It is a second chance at love story that readers will feel a connection with the characters immediately. Noah B. Perez and Stephanie Nemeth Parker are new narrators to me and their dulcet tones bring the characters to life. Nydia and Mane were childhood best friends. Like many young and in love people they professed that they would love one another forever. However, life stepped in and when tragedy occurred, they were spun into a vortex that had devastating consequences. Fast forward a few years and Mane has returned. Being a small town, he will assuredly run into his former best friend and love but what type of reception will he receive? Can Nydia and Mane heal the gaping wound from the past and move forward or will they stay stuck due to a lack of communication? Ms. Burgoa has once again penned a storyline with such heart that paints a vibrant picture as if it were playing out on the big screen in one’s mind while listening. It is a page turning listen that will resonate long after it is finished.

I'm loving this new series of Luna Harbor by Claudia Burgoa, especially when it's interconnected with characters found in her other books. Mane and Nydia's story is one that is full of heartbreak and forgiveness. This is the epitome of a small-town, second-chance romance that will keep you wholly captivated. The narration by Noah B. Perez and Stephanie Nemeth Parker is superbly done. Finally You by Claudia Burgoa is an EPIC audiobook that will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!

Claudia Y. Burgoa keeps delivering beautiful stories that I can't help but fall in love with, and this new series is no different.

"Finally You" was a story with wonderful characters, and it will make you feel all the emotions throughout the pages; this second chance romance has banter, drama, heartache, swoony moments, and so much love.

Nydia & Manelik's story was a rocky one. Nydia & Manelik needed to sit down, talk, and listen to one another. Manelik is surprised by the new Nydia; there's nothing left of that girl he once knew, and he wants to know why; he wants to fix things between them. It's not easy for Nydia to talk about what happened to her, but I love how despite being shocked and in pain by the revelations, Manelik is there for her. Nydia will learn to live and to love again, especially to love herself again with Manelik by her side.

Noah B Perez and Stephanie Nemeth Parker are new to me, but I loved their performance.

Perfect narration for this very special story

After reading the novella Maybe It’s You I was excited for Finally You because I needed more from Luna Harbor and I needed to know where we were going to be taken with Nydia and Manelik “Mane” Cantu’s second chance at love. This book was everything I expected and so much more, I was captivated from the first few pages and there was no putting down until I had listened the final words.
Noah B. Perez and Stephanie Nemeth Parker did a wonderful job bringing this very special read to life. They were spot on with every emotion and they captivated me with their calming tones.
This is a couple who needed closure, neither knew why the split up and both blame each other for walking away and it’s up only when Mane comes back to Luna Harbor do they get a chance to thrash it out. So what’s in store for the now famous rockstar who is now living right next door to the love of his life …..guess you need to read or listen to Finally You to find that out.
I loved everything about this book, it ticked all my boxes, I adored all the characters, it’s fun, it’s steamy but it’s also emotional because there is a very fine line between love and hate and as much as this couple believe they hate each other it’s not long before love wins the day. This was a very special story that stayed with me long after the final word had been listened to and I highly recommend all romance. A wonderful start to the new series and I’m excited for what’s coming next.

Emotional and riveting

After reading the novella Maybe It’s You I couldn’t wait to jump in to Finally You. I was intrigued by Nydia and Manelik (Mane) Cantu and their second chance at love story was so good. I love small town romances and I could easily see myself in Luna Harbor.

I really felt for both Nydia and Mane; so much time and missed opportunities have passed them by. They never had the closure that they both needed, anger kept them apart. Now he is back, could they re kindle the love they once shared? Further complicating matters is that Mane is now a famous rock star and he and his band mates have a new bar, right next door to Nydia.

This was a fun, steamy listen with characters whose story you cannot help but become invested in. The characters were easy to relate to and I really liked them separately and especially together. Nydia is such an independent, strong woman and one I really admire.

Narrated by Noah B Perez and Stephanie Nemeth Parker both who are new to me I found myself hooked on their performances. They brought the passion and angst and all the emotions to their narration and there were times I was moved to tears with the pain and anguish that they went through.

It’s such a fine line between love and hate and as much as they want to hate one another, it is obvious to those around them that the spark of love is still there. Can they come to terms with the past and in doing so find the love and happiness that they deserve?

Finally You

I thoroughly enjoyed this first book in Claudia Burgoa's Luna Harbor series.

Mane and Nydia have history but haven't seen each other in years. When he and his family return to Luna Harbor, they have a second chance. I really liked seeing them reconnect and find that they still have feelings for one another. A lot has changed and it was interesting seeing how their relationship developed.

If you loved the Baker Creek series, I think you'll really enjoy this book. After reading this wonderful story I am really looking forward to seeing what happens next in the series!

Beautiful Second Chance Romance!

This second chance, enemies to lovers romance is a great start to The Luna Harbor series! After meeting these fun and swoony, Too Far from Grace, band members in Burgoa's Baker’s Creek series, I couldn't wait to read more about them. Manelik (Mane) Cantú and Nydia Vega-Knapp became best friends as kids and each others first in everything, including love, as teenagers. They promised to be together and love each other forever. But something happened that tore them apart and broke both their hearts. Nydia wanted to leave Luna Harbor but is back and struggling to make a success of her family farm while creating lavender items for her business. When a stranger comes to town and makes her an offer to rent her farm house, she can't turn it down, knowing it will help her financially. What she didn't know is that the only man she ever loved, and now tries to hate, will be one of the people staying in her home. Mane is back in Luna Harbor, along with his siblings, to help his grandfather run his businesses while he is ill. Mane tried to move on after things ended with Nydia, but now that they are close again, his heart wants to make things right, and claim her as his again. Nydia is not making it easy, finding it hard to open up about tragic events she keeps secret so she can heal, secrets and truths that may tear them apart for good. It was so much fun, getting to know Mane, Nydia, the Too Far From Grace band members and the rest of the Cantu siblings. They are all charming, cheeky, intriguing, and sexy. They may play tricks on each other but they are loyal, loving and supportive. My heart broke for Nydia and the struggles she went through, but she is so strong and resilient. Mane is lost a bit, trying to find his place in town, but Nydia gives him purpose and causes him to be the protective, loving man he was always meant to be.
I was so captivated by Noah B. Perez, and Stephanie Nemeth Parker's narration. I loved listening to their smooth voices and their authentic accents, the easy and lyrical way they speak, especially the way each characters name rolls off their tongues. Then when needed, they both made me feel intense emotion, taking my breathe away. They were so perfectly cast to bring this tale of loyalty and betrayal, of love and heartbreak, and ultimately of hope and healing, to life! I loved every moment of this beautiful, raw and emotional journey.

Great duo chosen for these characters!

Noah B. Perez is Mane down to a T! And Stephanie Nemeth Parker was chosen to be the perfect Nydia. I loved everything about this second-chance romance. I finished this audiobook in one go. It definitely had me consumed in their journey and the town of Luna Harbor. (The only thing I can point out is that the chapter headings didn’t match the reading)
