Summary

He looks like he belongs on stage, stripping out of his firefighter uniform, not running into a burning building to save me. But thank God he did.

When the smoke clears and my eyes focus on my savior, one look at his gorgeous face and tattoo-covered muscles, and I know he’ll be too much for me to handle. It’s a good thing I never have to see him again, right?

Except, losing my home to a fire means finding somewhere new to live, and guess who just happens to be my new roommate? Hayden Flynn. The filthy-talking firefighter who’s been front and center of all of my dreams lately.

Our attraction is undeniable, but it’s the adventures he takes me on that has me falling for him, each new experience chipping away at the wall I’ve been hiding behind.

He wasn’t supposed to see past my scars.

He wasn’t supposed to break me apart piece by piece, then put me back together again.

He was just supposed to be a firefighter. I didn’t expect him to end up saving my life, in more ways than one.

Two books on Adele

Jilted Jock is also about Adele. Doesn't match. Very disappointed. Is she married to firefighter or footballer. Does she have a child or not.

Adele has a second story. Reinvented.

First off, I was so irritated when I found out that someone else wrote another story for Adele when I already had her happiness in my mind that I really couldn't get into the story much. The story was fine and could be cute for chances cousin or someone else close to him, but not Adele again. I was happy with Jilted Jock and Adele's Baller hubby. I had to try to think of her as a family member like a twin of Adele to help me separate the two. Another disappointment is the male narrator really needs to work on his Aussie accent. I was bad and his pitch was too high. It took away from the character too much. The story itself was cute and short, but those two things should be changed.

"Everything I never knew I wanted"

3.5 Stars!

I really enjoyed Hayden and Adele. Hayden is a cocky but still a sweet southern gentleman to his core. Adele has made enough mistakes in her life so she is playing it safe. She has a safe job, dresses safe, and avoid risks. This was a quick story but it worked. Once you started the story it sucked you in. Hayden pushed Adele and bought her out of her shell. They complemented each other well. This was the perfect mix of heat, emotions, and story telling.

Luscious Listening

Christian and Michelle did a superb job of bringing this book to life.
Though sometimes the Ozzie accent sounded more South African, it was a pleasure to listen to Hayden and Adele's story.
Insta-lust, sizzling chemistry, dirty talk and surprises will keep you hooked until the very end.

Short but sweet

Although I felt the end went lightning fast and could have been a little longer it was a cute story. Love Christian Fox, he is one of my favs but I didn’t love his female Australian accent. It didn’t deter from his performance though. Michelle has a great regular abs male voice but her female Australian accent is not good at all and it did deter from the story as she was the female lead. Thankfully in that respect it was a short story, don’t think I could have gone 8 hours with it.

Good

You don’t need to read the first book but if you want to....
The first book that started the “Hero Club Series” Soraya and Graham’s story Is “Stuck-Up Suit” by ViKeeland and Penelope Ward it took me forever to figure it out.

I loved the story but kinda confused on in a previous book she was best friends with Jolene and in Adele's story she goes on about how she has no friends. just feels like a slap in the face to Jolene lol

I really enjoyed this read

When I first started listening I thought it was slow. But after the back story of Adele was reveal just a few more minutes into the story, I wanted more. I needed to know and then I couldn't stop listening. a day and a half of yard work with my headphones on and I was able to finish my yard and the book. 😉

Cocky Firefighter

I enjoyed the story, and was pleased that it was with characters I had just finished reading about in Cocky Bastard. It wasn't anything spectacular, but it was a fun read if you are exploring the Cocky Heroes. I wanted a story about a firefighter and this was a good fit. Unfortunately, it was a bit cliche -- spoiler removed-- but still good for a 4 hour story.

Narrators did a great job on very different accents. (Carolina Southern and Australian)
