Kyra knows shes screwed. Trapped in a school, surrounded by a bunch of flesh eating zombies, the end is nigh. Or so Riley thinks so he convinces Kyra to spend what could be her last few hours fooling around in one of the empty classrooms with him. Kyra is a bit of a rebel, which I loved. The atmosphere is fantastic with the narration, you feel like you're sneaking around a haunted house trying not to attract unwanted attention from some axe murderer.

Riley was more of a rich playboy and they had a great balance. She's a horror writer, so suddenly all that creative thinking power is a great advantage to help keep her and the other survivors alive... like the knocking idea. Not everyone makes it, but by the end what started out as a simple distraction from the end, gives our post-apocalyptic couple a desire to fight for the future, however uncertain it might be.

An excellent romance novella amid the zombie apocalypse. Kate L. Mary is a brilliant storyteller that captures us with her incredible imagination. The storyline and the characters are fantastic, they held my attention the entire time. Excellent narration by Rebekah Tyler, she brought the characters to life. I enjoyed this audiobook and wished it was longer. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.
