Of course, it could be Gale Gordon's Mayor LaTrivia, his respectability gilded by a fine sheen of ego that Fibber couldn't resist chipping away at. Or they might find themselves face to face with the twinkle-eyed Old Timer or the put-upon Wallace Wimple, both voiced by Bill Thompson.
