Summary

Three soldiers decide they've had enough and decide to strike out on their own. They go to West Tennessee in search of Brandon Crawford's aunt and uncle. They soon descend into a world of marauding in order to survive.

Jump forward to eight years later; Zach Gunderson and his family have made a home at Mount Weather. Everything seems to be working, and the president's dream of reestablishing the US is progressing, but then, disaster strikes. After being vaccinated, two survivor groups in Ohio become infected, unleashing an apparent new strain of the zombie virus.

Through Zach's investigation, he finds a traitor in their midst who is trying to sabotage the rebirth of America by any means necessary.

Contains mature themes.

Not a perfect book for a great serie

Performance of this book was as good as the others have been, but I found this story boring and not in the same level as others have been. This was more like a documentary without emotions...

Gripping, as always

I have been a fan and adamant listener of this series from the beginning. As always, David Achord delivered, with even more characters to become attached to like they're your own family, a story line that keeps you intrigued, and an ending that makes you want the next installment immediately. Graham Halstead is a phenomenal narrator, capturing the essence of each individual character flawlessly.

This series is, by far, one of my favorites. 10/10

Another job well done.

This book is a wonderful addition to the Zombie Rules series. Well written storyline , and Graham Halsteads performance was just amazing. (As we have come to expect from him.) Gonna be hard to wait for the next installment.

Wow..just Wow

I couldnt stop listening.. when I was at work on any break I would listen, while cooking dinner, in the car.. literally anytime I had a chance I was listening! This well thought out seris is amazing.. you feel a bond with each character.. you follow their journey and share in their highs and lows... I found myself wondering about certain individuals and when you think the author wont follow up... bam.. a follow up about that character that you thought might not be around anymore!! Just wondering where the next book is at.. left me with such a cliff hanger I have to know what happened to everyone.. how does this story end?!?!?!?

Horrible

I enjoyed the first 5 books. I relistened to them marathon fashion in order to get ready for this book.

This book needed an editor in the worst way. It’s almost like someone else wrote it. The characters don’t even have the same feel.

Also, recap after recap after recap. It’s like a tv show that is nothing but memories from previous books. Seriously. Let people just read the first 5 books instead of rehashing EVERYTHING.

Will be returning

Where was the Editor?

For a zombie book, this book was missing zombies. Also. It came across as a couple of segments slashed together as the author keep repeating things that happened in this very book. You’d expect a retelling of certain things if they happened in previous books and the author wanted the reader to catch up, just in case they hadn’t read a previous book, but to retell this that happened a few chapters early, in detail was not only lazy but sloppy. Again... where was the editor?

Great story...is this the end?

Things at Mt. Weather are progressing along for Zak and friends but something has gone wrong with the Ohio people. Things take a turn when it becomes known someone is undermining Mt. Weather and people are dying. This is the last Zombie Rules book published, really wish there were more. I really enjoyed reading and listening to this series.
