Tedious

Lots about the cars, little about the man. Many sections amount to little more than spoken lists of car specifications.

A great gift!

Biography and history of Enzo Ferrari and development of the business, basics of auto races and race car evolution were fascinating to me, but the extensive and detailed descriptions of automotive development were waaaay above my head.
But. I shared this book with a "car guy", and, after he read mine, he went and got his own copy.
Enzo's life, visionary gifts and abilities are worth reading whether or not you can comprehend all of the technical stuff. Either way, it certainly sounds well researched and well presented.
I read it in audio format narrated by Jack Chekijian who is well known for his ability to make even the driest lecture interesting.

Don’t buy unless you just like to listen to an encyclopedia.

It had no stories about why Ferrari was great. It was just model 250 had x HP as top speed. Ferrari won F1 in 19XX. Terrible.

Just listed cars

Does that I’m feel like an autobiography. Very little information about Enzo Ferrari but a long list of the cars he worked on without any interesting details about them. I felt like he was just reading a list of cars

Just the Essentials

This is a very sparse history of Ferrari. There is not much story telling and not much detail. You might guess that from the length. It is a very fast listen.
