About this listen

He warned me what would happen if he lost control. I didn't listen.

He told me to stay away from him, that if I got too close he would not be able to stop himself. He would pin me down and take me so fiercely my throat would be sore from screaming before he finished wringing one savage, desperate climax after another from my helpless, quivering body.

Part of me was terrified, but another part needed to know if he would truly throw me to the ground, mount me, and rut me like a wild animal, longer and harder than any human ever could.

Now, as the feral beast flips me over to claim me even more shamefully when I've already been used more thoroughly than I imagined possible, I wonder if I should have listened to him....

Feral is a dark sci-fi romance that takes place on Earth in the year 2172. The MCs are Cosima and Axel. The book is written in first person with the majority of the chapters being in Cosima’s POV. Cosima goes to a place known as Echelon 67 which is a top secret government facility. She is a journalist and she is there to try and find out the truth about some recent deaths that have been attributed to animals. The action in this book begins soon after Cosima is found in one of the labs. She meets Axel soon after that when he rescues her from being attacked by one of the last surviving Echelon 67 test subject (Saleos). Axel is the only other survivor, besides Saleos. Both of them are hybrids known as Alienus Bestia. The book takes place over a relatively short period of time and focuses on the development of the relationship between Cosima and Axel, avoiding Saleos, and Axel trying to get Cosima out of Echelon 67 before the place is destroyed. This is an intense book, especially during the sex scenes with Cosima and Axel. In the book’s description, there is a “warning” about the content in this book, so I recommend that you pay attention to it, especially if you don’t like those types of sex scenes. This book was my first time reading this author and it was also my first time reading an “alien” romance. The author did a great job creating the world of this book. I think it was pretty well developed and she did a great job of providing background information about Echelon 67 and the things that happened there that were pertinent to the storyline. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and was fascinated by the story that the author told. But this is not the type of story that I can read an a regular or frequent basis, just because of how intense some of the scenes were. The narrator did a good job of performing the book. The only complaints that I have are that the narrator didn’t always put a lot of emotion in his voice (he sound monotone at times when it seems that he should have emoted anger or fear) and I would have liked to hear a female narrator perform Cosima’s chapters. Once again, I really enjoyed this book overall and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys dark sci-fi romances. I will definitely check out some of this author’s other works in the future.

This is what I have come to expect and love from a Sara fields novel. The characters are well thought out and the story leads naturally to the smutty side of the story very well albeit quickly. A very enjoyable novel

Fantastic

Firstly...Bo Alexander and that voice...he could read me the phone book, love it! I was a bit confused at the beginning as I thought the first character was male, ummm yeah, then the male voice kicked in and my tummy did little rumble. Absolutely no complaints from me....

I really enjoyed the set up of the story, and that extra bit that Axel has, lol, you'll know what I mean when you get to it. I could see the world and the characters around me as I listened, which was great. A few parts made me chuckle out loud but not for the reasons you might think.

Great narrator, good story

Feral by Sara Fields is a Standalone Dark Sci-Fi Romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Bo Alexander. This is the first book of Sara’s that I have read and look forward to reading more from her in the future. Bo did a great job narrating. The only down fall was that he did not change tone for each character. I liked that the book switched between Axel and Cosima points of view so you could really get into both characters head. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Dark Romance and a bit of Sci-Fi.

A sweet short story with a difference (lots of heat, if a little repetitive) I liked the idea of the additional anatomical reference In the hot spot.
I was confused at the beginning as I thought the character talking was male so I though it was same sex, but I was soon put right.
Bo Alexander has a nice voice to listen to.

Definately feral!
