Summary

A fighter beat my best friend to within an inch of her life, and I lost it....

I stormed into a Russian gym, and threatened an MMA champ with sinfully dark eyes and dangerous muscles. Of course, I’d already cursed every Russian by the time I got to him.

He introduced himself as Vassili Resnov, my heart dropped into the pit of my stomach. Only idiots threaten Resnovs, and then they die - which is logical. The Resnov Bratva is the largest crime syndicate in Russia, maybe the world.

But Vassili might not be as depraved as his counterparts. Once we clear the air - and I find out I was at the wrong gym - he offers me the chance to continue breathing.

Now, I’m his. Yeah, sure.

I have more cards up my sleeve - big ones. Such as my father’s business card. The "Chief of Police" tag should save me.

But what about my heart....

can't wait until book 2

I honestly loved this book, and I'm patiently waiting for book 2 on audio. I have read this trilogy, but the audio just adds so much more life to the story. I thought I would find it difficult to listen to just a male narrator, but I based this off of bad listening experiences in the past. J.T Farrell did a phenomenal job his Russian accent was off the charts. I also liked how he didn't try to over due Zaraia's voice it sounded very smooth. I will but book 2 whenever it is released and the third. I really did enjoy this audio book.

Love Love Love it

This series has become one of my favorites. At first I didn't think I could get down with no female voice but I got over it! The writing is so well done it makes you follow every step! the sex scenes are so raw but sexy. I could be bias but no one wants vanilla sex all the time! it's a bumpy road with these two trying to live a normal life but family and the brata just won't let them. I can't wait until Lawless come to audible. it also was a good read but I need to hear that story being told!

It's not bad

I want to know what happens next but I don't know if I can because these books need a female narrator in it. The male narrator did a great job narrating and I like how he didn't try to do a female voice because I think he was like hey I can't do one But that's what this audiobook needed and it's a little of a slow book but great sex scenes.

Better Than Anticipated

I didn't know what to expect from this (audio)book but it ended up better than I anticipated. There's a little bit of everything for most. You have the the cage fighting, mafia, shady family, cops abusing their power, a sassy "girl" (woman) who cares little about what others think, and an overbearing Russian who repeatedly claims his woman. There're some trigger categories touched upon. There is also a decent amount of humor - some questionable and some downright laugh-out-loud (like a diaper incident).

The narrator was fun to listen to. There were times that I wondered if it was Irish or Scottish accent instead of Russian but still enjoyable.

Everything!!

I love this book!! I wasn't too sure at first because of it only having a male narrator, but he did his thing. verseli treats Zariya like a man should and she gives him everything he needs. This book is funny, romantic, sensual, intense, and suspenseful. I can't wait to listen to the next two books

A wonderful love story

What I love about how this love story is written are the POV's and the characters around them. The characters are only included when he or she affected the main characters' relationship in some way. It's all about the two of them and simply Enjoyable. I do think Zariah is a little unreasonable wanting her man to give up fighting, something he loves. She's not giving up her profession😏. Hats off to the great narrator JT Farrell who bought the sexy bruting Russian fighter to life and his love for Zariah. 😍😋

Loved It!

I have read the entire series already and loved it. Now to listen to this first book really fleshes out the characters and even provides moments of laughter especially between Vassili and Yuri and Nestor. And he and Zariah have their moments, too. And the sexy moments...OMG🔥. JT Farell's Vassili is sooo sexy. I really, really enjoyed his narration. Great job.

Spot on narration, you'll see the fight

Opposites attract, great narration, great writing. GLAD I made this purchase, only thing missing is maybe a paragraph about this Vassilli s dad, what's his problem? All in all good great beginning of series.
