I always like listening to the author themselves. I didn’t know much about Rebecca Minkoff brand before this, but actually inspiring how she built the brand, overcame obstacles, raised kids and a started a women’s empowerment movement. Big respect and def worth a listen.

I realized this was mainly directed at women, but I enjoy getting different perspectives. It's curiously honest about failures, and not just "brag fsilures" but genuin mistakes, which gives the book a very down to earth tone, while also giving a very optimistic message. There's a lot of "allow yourself to be imperfect" in it, which I think is because this is a common female issue. Books of this genre, written by men, tend more to "grit" and "never give up". So, I enjoyed it. I even spotted one of those morning after bags with a lady while I was listening once. Nice to get to know the woman behind the name.
