There are so many twists and turns in this book. Some you might see coming and some you won't. I believe this series is considered romantic suspense but I would almost put this in the thriller category. It is gripping and will take you on a huge rollercoaster ride. This was a great ending to an intense series. Joe Arden and Andi Arndt did a super job bringing this story to life.

You must read Stateless and Traceless before Fateless. I also realized well into this book that it also relates to a previous Meli Raine series I've listed to (The Coming Home series), and I wish I had listened to the Breaking Away series and the Harmless series (in addition to Coming Home) prior to this book of the Stateless series. It's not required, but I think I would have liked the additional background leading up to this story.

I really liked how Meli Raine took what felt like a dystopian story in the first Stateless book and turned it into an exciting contemporary romantic suspense by the time we got to Fateless. Since the individual books in the series all have cliffhangers, it's more appropriate to release/judge them as a set (not stand alone books).

Joe Arden and Andi Arndt do a great job with the narration.

What a ride this trilogy has been! From Stateless, lack of feeling and empathy to learning there is life outside the values they have been taught, Callum and Kina both struggle to break free and take down the group. But will they reach all of it's sects? Do they know just how deep it goes? Will they be able to adjust to a new way of life? There are so still so many questions, event though so many have been answered. This psychological thriller had me on the edge, excited to learn more, sad at some of the outcome and thrilled at others. There are surprises and light at the end of their tunnel. Another exciting series by the talented Meli Raine.

The narration of this trilogy enhances the suspense. Andi Arndt and Joe Arden bring it all out with high angst, feeling the fear of the unknown and the known. They truly made the listen like a movie in my mind and one I will recommend.

This series has captivated me from the first chapter of the first book and I didn’t see the end coming but I certainly enjoyed every second of this book. I know that this is a book and series that I will want to listen to again and again.
