About this listen
Nerves shredded, flesh torn, and the milking machine has been turned on… but whatever you do, don’t drink the milk.
Lower Crumbsbottom is surrounded by farmland, picturesque and serene. But take a picnic there at your peril. When Richard and Reggie go visiting, they get more than they bargained for. Kidnapped and forced into depraved procreative practices, Richard demands nothing more than to escape. Danny is searching for his brother, and Shirley is riding more than his bike.
Then there is Lewis and Maisie, and their children, Anton, Tim, and Jean, who all love each other very much.
And last is Daisy, who just wants to eat.
Farm Animals is an extreme horror novel that will undoubtedly upset those with delicate sensibilities. Consider this a trigger warning for everything.

I received Farm Animals from Big Bear Audio in return for an honest review.
From the beginning of Farm Animals I thought I had it figured out, oh my how I was wrong.
The story takes you to the dark side, exploring themes not commonly heard of.
Farm animals is a gruesome story, but had a sense of English humour to it which I found vital to the flow of the story.
It was well written, detailed and it was easy to envision the story in one’s head however gruesome the scene was it brought a picture into one’s mind.
If you enjoy strange off putting subjects and farm labour (specifically milking), this book is for you, I promise.
HOWEVER, Please take caution, this is taboo and not everyone’s cup of tea!
Now for the narration of the book.
Yet again, Big Bear Audio has brought another book by Ash Ericmore to life with his well narrated characters. His portrayal of Yorkshire farmers was one of the biggest things I take away from it, and do find myself reciting lines from the book in that accent.
Big Bear audio is the voice that haunts your dreams, literally. The amount of times I have had dreams where he is narrating a well written book such as this one is insane.
I look forward to hearing more work by this collaboration, as I find that Big Bear Audio’s English accent really brings that rawness to characters and makes him rememberable.

I'm not familliar with Ash Ericmore so I came in with no expectations, but I finished the book inpressed and wanting to discover more of his work.
This is a story set in rural England which I instantly connected with as an inhabitant. Luckily I've not encountered anyone like the family featured in this book, but I was quickly drawn into this gruesome story to the point that I finished it in a day.
The plot follows a country family with nefarious intentions who kidnaps those who wander too far into their backwood area. I dont want to give too much away so I'll just say that most trigger warnings apply to this twisted tale.
I find extereme horror very hit-and-miss but this really hit the mark, a well written story, with a thought-out plot and a very satisfying ending. This is a must for fans of the genre!
A twisted tale set in pastoral England

I honestly think these two work perfectly together. The narrator gives each character in the story a life of their own, the detail down to every tone of their voices builds a believable world to get lost it.
A wonderfully British extreme horror story, full of depraved farmers, repurposed farming tools and enough blood, guts and hungry pigs to keep any horror enthusiast gripped till the end.
Great duo.

Thank you so much to Ash for sending me the audible code for this! I absolutely love these kinds of books…that might sound weird but yes it intrigues me and instantly pulls me in!!
Richard & Reggie have gone for a weekend away, Reggie has been dying for a holiday, some alone time with Richard. The countryside wasn’t on her plans but with no other options she’s determined to make the most of it.
There’s not much to do in the sleepy little village so they decide to go for a lovely walk, have a look at some of the scenery, maybe sneak into one of the fields and have a little fun 😌
Luckily they don’t risk it as they soon bump into Maisie, a farmers wife, who tells them they’re more than welcome to pop to the barn if they get sidetracked….little do they know Maisie has plans for Richard, the farm isn’t run by lovely little farmers no…try cannibalistic, incestuous & absolutely deranged instead!
They soon find this out for themselves 🫣
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 i just absolutely love it when it kicks off from the very first page, it gave me the gore, the disgust and the depravity that I know and love within this genre 👌🏻
I’ve been a fan of Ericmore for a long time, Cadavers being my fav followed by his newest release the devils double & I’m loving the fact that he has enough books to keep that Ericmore fix happy 🤣
