Summary

This strong-willed alpha gets what he wants...

As a stupid kid, Isaac broke up with his true love Grayson, so he could pursue the limelight of the modelling world. But after a hiccup in his career, he’s back in Knot Pointe and ready to win Gray back. Gray isn’t the same boy that Isaac once loved. He’s blossomed into a confident man, and Isaac has his work cut out for him if they’re going to be together again.

Omega Grayson isn’t ready to risk his heart a second time...

It tore him up when Isaac left to become a model, and it only got worse once they lost touch completely. But Gray has put himself back together, and he’s stronger now than ever before. When Isaac rolls back into town ready for their relationship to fall back into place, Gray isn’t so sure. He needs to know that Isaac won’t leave him again before he’s willing to risk his heart once more.

And when Gray is finally ready to dive in, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity might send Isaac back out the door. Will they allow history to repeat itself? Or will their love be strong enough the second time around?

Love hasn’t come easy or stayed long for the men of Knot Pointe, Colorado. But now, luck is on their side. They’ll seize their second chances and find the loves of their lives!

as good as the ebook

The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. I can't listen to an audiobook without knowing the book, that's not possible for me.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

My Review

Another good story Austen I liked the fact that it took the omega to solve the alpha's problem and I also liked the fact that he was angry at first. Keep the stories coming.

enjoyed it [solid 3.5 stars]

Would I listen to it again: yes
Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes - but i never really warmed to Issac
What did I like about the story? good pace, interesting characters and a journey of healing and growth to get Issac and Grey to their HEA.
Was there anything that didn't work for me? .. Issac was a jerk to Grey and I feel Grey took him back too quickly given how long it took to get himself together after Issac left - would Issac come back for Grey if the LA incident hadn't happened ... I think probably not!

Narrator comment: C.S. Harder has done a good job narrating "Falling in Love with Someone so Different". His narration is reflective of the personalities and emotions of the characters and I had no problem distinguishing who was speaking.

Sweet and entertainng

I liked the story quite a lot, but the thing is, I never totally warmed up to Isaac. I get that he was young and naive when he got into the glamorous world of fashion, but the way he treated Gray? That's something I couldn't forgive :(

Nevertheless, the story advances with a perfect pace, with the right amount of angst, and I'm more than willing for those two to have their happy ending by the end of the story. Add to that the fact that I was really happy for the role Gray played on saving Isaac, and you'll have a winner :P

C.S. Harder does a great job with the narration.

Isaac & Grayson

A second chance lovers story. Isaac's new career took off and he dropped his support, his high school sweetheart. Now, his world is shattering from his own stupidity, to believe someone so slimy, and he is hiding at home. Grayson wants nothing to do with him, but he has not actually moved on. Both have healing to do and growing up.

second choice

I felt empathy for Isaac to a point, because he was wronged and used by his ex in LA , but when he came home to hide from the shame and public, ge was still arrogant and selfish with Gray (first ex) . Gray took him back too quickly. Isaac didn't grovel near enough!! I really question if Isaac would have come back to Gray if he wasn't forced to hide out???? I'm thinking NO! Gray was an afterthought and a SECOND CHOICE for Isaac ! His career was #1 until he was run out of town (figuratively)! Gray seemed more alpha than sad sack weak Isaac. Gray saved Isaac and his precious career. The narrator was okay, but showed little expression , just reading. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this story and am giving an honest review.

sweet

Austin Bates' Falling In Love With Someone So Different is the fourth book in the Second Chance Lovers series. It's a fun and sweet second chance omegaverse romance. It is sweet, sexy, funny with just a touch of drama and angst. The characters are great. I live Gray and Isaac are fantastic together.i loved them.

The narrator of the audiobook is CS Harder. Voicework is well done - different tones and voices that bring out the characters' personalities and entertain the listener. The recording is smooth. Great job.

Falling in Love

The story line was great and the characters are well developed and they played well off of each other.
The story of a high school love that breaks apart to pursue a career and a jilted domineering power hungry character, brings about a lot of plot twist. This book was very enjoyable.
However, C.S. Harder has a great voice and is easy to listen to. The delay between sentences doesn't flow well and is a distraction.

Wonderful Series

I'm just loving this second chances series. Two friends finding their way back to each other where they belong. Sometimes it's messy, sometimes it's sweet but it's always happy in the end.
Narrator C.S. Harder does another fabulous job with this book.
