I really wanted to like this book.

Summary
When Annie grabbed at what looked like an opportunity to escape her tumultuous, abuse-filled home, she had never heard the term sex trafficking. Needing money, wanting to be loved, and desperately seeking control of her life, she stumbled into the ever-darkening world of the sex industry as a glamorous, high-class escort in Las Vegas. All that glittered was not gold. She embarked on a dangerous path toward self-destruction. She lost everything she envisioned her new life would bring her, even her own identity. Beatings, abandonment, and death threats became routine - she often wondered if dying would be the best way out.
In Fallen Annie tells her remarkable story of surviving 16 years in the sex industry, breaking free, finding healing, and then reaching back to help others find freedom as well. This riveting memoir opens a window into a sordid, shadowy world - and shows just how bright God's light can truly shine.

Life Changing
What made the experience of listening to Fallen the most enjoyable?
Annie Lobert is a great narrator. She totally gave life to the text.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Annie (after her resigning as Fallon) was my favorite character.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I cried many times in many parts.
Any additional comments?
This book has no FLUFF. Although I have never heard of the author before I know without a doubt that everything in this book is TRUE. It is not pleasant. It is disturbing most of the time but true. She is so sincere and heartfelt. I am more than amazed at the progress she made. She gave me hope. Seriously, I'm in love with this book. I'm speechless against it. This book amazed me greatly: annie's sincerity, her courage to tell her story as it is.
This book changed my life. I wasn't a sex worker but it helped me to realize how much I take things for granted.
I love you Annie. You are awesome and I wish you all the best.

A wild ride with a happy ending!
What a great book this is. Having met Annie in person and hearing her story I wanted to know more about her journey and how she's made "beauty from ashes." I could relate to so many things in her book (even though I was never in the sex industry or trafficked in any way, thank God).
Her story is very hard to listen to sometimes, but needs to be heard. What she has done for others after coming out of a incredibly dark, lost life is miraculous!
I couldn't stop listening. Thankfully, her story ends in a good way, and she's got a great testimony and calling on her life now. Highly recommend.

Enlightening
I've been following Hookers for Jesus for a while, even donated to them. I never acually had a chance to hear Annies personal account. I've had friends trafficked and that's how I discovered this ministry. hearing this was a real eye opener to what happens to these girls and ultimately what has happemed to my friends. It is amazing to see how God works and it is also incredible to see the transformation Annie has gone through. Definitely worth listening too.

Hard to hear, but worth the listen.
I've been wanting to read Annie Lobert's autobiography, "Fallen: Out of the Sex Industry and Into the Arms of The Savior" ever since hearing about it. When I found out it was on Audible with Lobert reading it, I thought, even better.
Like a lot of people, I loved the Julia Robert's movie, Pretty Woman, but have always thought it hurt our society with it's fairy tail look at prostitution.
This is no Pretty Woman!
While Lobert is a beautiful woman, inside and out, to listen to the abuse (physical, mental and emotional) is excruciating, and just about the time you think she will break free, your hopes are dashed. I couldn't help but think while listening that this is not only true of prostitution, but of so many toxic relationships that many of us have endured. I believe this is a good read or listen for our sons and daughters to hear (and promote discussion with parents) as a teaching method to avoid such dangerous traps.
Listening to Annie tell her story I believe is even better than reading the book. You really get a feel for her heart and personality through the sound of her voice that I don't believe the pages alone can convey. I must commend the production of this project.
Overall, I highly recommend this book. It's a testimony of the Lord's power and just how much pain satan causes through the sex trafficking industry.
