Dr. Hill McCall and her wife Alice dreamed of developing a sanctuary for unwanted cats and dogs to live out their lives as a retirement project. Hill has secretly worked on the project for months when a wealthy benefactor surprises her with a large donation, allowing Hill to be more aggressive with the project’s opening. A group home operator approaches Hill about summer volunteer positions for four girls as Fairytail Farm becomes more than just a sanctuary for the animals. It creates an environment of love and kindness for the animals and all that support the project. Several love stories develop from first love to mature couples who have found their forever person. A very 'Ali Spooner', it doesn't get more 'saccharin' than Fairytail Farm ! Similar to (but not as good as) 'Cast Iron Farm' by the author there's plenty of heart-warming stuff going on. Money seems to be no object and the author indulges herself in DIY projects and food aplenty ! The narrator misses the mark, often leaving gaps in between sentences which spoils the flow.
Overall a nice listen, but it does finish very quickly and even the use of an epilogue doesn't round off the story satisfactorily !
A sequel would top off this story !

like her cast iron farm series, this is a really heartwarming story, young and old romances as the ranch owners start thier dream retirement for a cat n dog home. teenage orphans from a nearby home come to help, and take the ranchers hearts. plus there are so many cute animals , especially rex the German shepherd (my own favourite dog I had).
in a horrible world at moment, this is so uplifting, writing and narration.

I read the Kindle edition but this brought the characters to life and hopefully there will be a follow up.
