Faded Gray Lines is incredibly written and thoroughly captivating; an action-pack, suspenseful, and well-crafted star-crossed cartel romance, that hooks your right from the start. The storyline is wrapped in secrets, deception, intrigue, and enemies lurking in corners. The unexpected twists and turns made the story unpredictable; it had me guessing the entire time. The characters, Mateo, and Leighton are genuine and totally authentic; it's impossible not to get emotionally invested in them. They're magnetic, and their story is absolutely fantastic; and the chemistry is palpable, one of passion and mutual desire.

Aaron Shedlock and Sarah Puckett are true voice artists. They slipped perfectly into the characters pulling me right into the story. I was fully absorbed into Mateo and Leighton's world. All in all, Faded Gray Lines is unbelievably engaging, a thrilling and memorable ride, one I'll highly recommend.

where to start... Matty and Layton were young loves. Opposite sides of the track. but a dark secret sent her running from Houston to her Grandparents house.
The story line was intense. Just when I figured something out Cora Kenborn, throws a loop ot.teist in there. so good.

Sarah Puckett amazing narrator as always. she gives characters so much life.
Aaron Shedlock, woah..I thought I had a favorite prior to this one. he is phenomenal as Mateo. I didnt want him to stop narrating
they both brought this story to life.

Leighton Harcourt has found herself in some trouble in San Marcos, and is needing to hide out. Her brother Brody tells her to come to Houston and he will protect her. What she doesn't expect is to run into Matty, a blast from the past, but the story isn't pretty.

Mateo Cortes is a member of the Carrera Cartel. He is working with her brother Brody, unbeknownst to Leighton. When he realizes who she is things change drastically. The problems that are following Leighton are more than these two have bargained for.

They don't want to start a war but a war is coming for them, the question is.. will they make it out alive?

The craziness and turmoil throughout this book is intense. The back story with the two main characters is bittersweet.

I loved these two so much, you can tell from the start they are meant to be. They have such a strong connection but the history is hard to overcome, and the world seems to be fighting against them. Can love conquer all or will they end in heartache?

Faded Gray Lines by Cora Kenborn is a dark mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Sarah Puckett.

This is the second book in the Carrera Cartel series and each book can be read as a standalone. However, it’s recommend to read them in order to avoid spoilers.

This is the second book of Cora’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved the second chance romance between Leighton and Mateo. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can’t wait for the next book in the series Drawn Blue Lines to be released on audio so I can get Adriana and Brody’s story.

Aaron and Sarah did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend his book to anyone who loves mafia/cartel romances, dark romances, second chance romances, or romantic suspense.

Audiobook review. In this story, I felt like I connected a little more with Matteo and Leighton based on their shared past. The plot was all over the place with characters forging on their own agendas. It was interesting to try and figure out the pieces as some were predictable but others caught me off guard. Some of the drama felt like it could’ve been resolved by a good conversation between our main characters but those near misses were as entertaining as they were frustrating.

I liked Leighton because she experienced growth as she walked in the Gray areas of life. She didn’t lose sight of what motivated her actions. Matteo’s loyalty and his own internal conflict also allowed him to elevate as a character and member of the familia.

The writing was solid and the Spanish this time around was significantly better. Aaron Shedlock and Sarah Puckett did a great job on narration. I tend to listen at higher speeds and the sound quality remained on point in tone, pitch, and inflections. I will definitely continue the series.
