An excellent roller-coaster of a thriller. You don't need to have read book one of the series (which is also great in a completely different way) and don't get too bogged down in the opening political exchanges, this book takes off and the afterburners kick in. Grim reading at times but extremely exciting and expertly delivered. Loved it!

You can’t help but get absorbed in the story, the suspense and the action. The author does an excellent job with the detail which keeps the fantastic realistic. A great holiday read which you will be sorry to finish. I can’t wait to read the 3rd in the series.
