From the Sunday Times top ten best-selling author of The Psychopath Test, a captivating and brilliant exploration of one of our world's most underappreciated forces: shame. Story
In 1979, a secret unit was established by the most gifted minds within the US Army. Defying all known accepted military practice - and indeed, the laws of physics - they believed that a soldier could adopt the cloak of invisibility, pass cleanly through walls and, perhaps most chillingly, kill goats just by staring at them. Entrusted with defending America from all known adversaries, they were the First Earth Battalion. And they really weren't joking. What's more, they're back and fighting the War on Terror.

In Them, Jon sets out, with the help of the extremists, to locate that room. The journey is as creepy as it is comic, and along the way Jon is chased by men in dark glasses, unmasked as a Jew in the middle of a Jihad training camp, and more.

F**king Great

Summary
An uncensored conversation about sex and self from the creators of the top-rated Guys We F--ked: The Anti Slut-Shaming Podcast.
Comedians Corinne Fisher and Krystyna Hutchinson started Guys We F--ked: The Anti Slut-Shaming Podcast in 2013, intending to interview guys they'd slept with to learn more about themselves and squash the stigma so often associated with sexual women. As the podcast grew, and Corinne and Krystyna got to know their fans, stories of sexual assault, verbal and emotional abuse and crippling shame became common topics of discussion along with those humorous conversations highlighting overall sexual confusion among many adults.
The podcast is now a community of over a million listeners worldwide and a place where any and all taboo sex topics are discussed freely, both with celebrity guests and the real people in their lives. F--cked follows that model, as Corinne and Krystyna present a mix of raw, ridiculous and serious sexual conversation, including topics like:
- Why shame is completely made up and how we can stop giving in to it
- Sexual exploration and how it sometimes ends in a trip to A&E
- Stuff we should stop doing: snooping, nitpicking our bodies and faking orgasms
- Asking your sexual partner uncomfortable questions
- How to get yourself out of an unsafe situation
- Masturbation, threesomes, porn, sex toys, butt stuff and much, much more
This is a guide to love and sex for anyone who has ever felt afraid to be their authentic sexual self. It won't talk down to you or coddle you, because you're better than that. Despite what rom-coms and glossy magazines tell you, you can handle sexual exploration without the assistance of a man, a glass of rosé or a Xanax - and, more importantly, you're fine all by yourself.

You don’t realise how much you need this book
First off- these talented women are funny as fuck. If you haven’t listened to their podcast yet, you’re missing out. Go, have a listen. I’ll wait for you to come back.
Ok so this book is the conversations you wish you could have/had with your friends, parents, ex’s, current SO, hairdresser... and after you’ve read it you can! In true Corinne and Krystyna fashion, it’s not judgemental or patronising. They’re so warm hearted and knowledgeable but also aware that they don’t know everything so they’ve also got a buttload of research and interviews! You will laugh, you might cry. There are some scary statistics in here, but there’s also funny, uplifting thoughts that’ll leave you with a spring in your step.
Corrine and Krystyna have poured their heart and soul into Guys We Fucked and this book. And the world is a better place because of it.
PS word of advice, don’t listen to this book while you’re doing your weekly food shop. People tend to give you weird looks when you burst out laughing in the frozen section...

Funny, informative and important
What did you like most about F--ked?
I loved getting to spend more time with the people who I love so much from the 'Guys We Fucked' podcast. This book goes more in depth into the subjects that we usually hear about at the beginning of the podcast and I heard lots of new facts about sex and sexuality that I hadn't heard before. As someone who prides themselves on knowing lots about both, I still found this book helpful and also feel it gave me some emotional support and advice that was helpful to hear, as well as some important information on sexual assault and abortion that I honestly think everyone could do with hearing. Wish I had had this book growing up and wish that those around me had it too.
What was one of the most memorable moments of F--ked?
I think you should listen to the book but some of my favourite chapter were on body confidence and how to overcome anxiety in a world that profits off your imperfections.
What does Corinne Fisher and Krystyna Hutchinson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
The authors read their amazing story with the same wit and wisdom that they bring to their podcast. Corinne's dry humour and Krystyna's warmth are palpable as they read their humorous stories, conveying an important message with the candid attitude it deserves.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I found Krystina's chapter addressing rape and Corinne's addressing body image particularly moving. They aren't patronising and don't talk down to their audience whilst also being entertaining and thoughtful.
Any additional comments?
Listen to this book. Thank you to Corinne and Krystyna for writing it. As a dyslexic I think that the fact that I took the time to spell Krystyna's name right is recommendation enough.
