About this listen

If every therapist and psychotherapist on the planet could repeat this to their clients, like a mantra, again and again, there would be fewer therapists and psychotherapists. Because it works. Very quickly.Realising that what you're worrying about and stressing over doesn't really matter so much in the grand scheme of things is the door to freedom and healing. And the little profanity 'F**k It' is the key to that door. Ask anyone who's come close to death, or lost someone close to them, or discovered they have a serious disease and they'll say the same thing: that the little things don't matter, F**k It...Enjoy life in every moment for what it is, not what you want it to be... worry less, live more... remember what's important and forget the rest.John and Gaia have taught F**k It Retreats in Italy and around the world since 2005. They have taught thousands of people how to say F**k It: how to ease up, let go and feel the natural flow in their lives. On this audio book, they both present the down-to-earth process they teach during their week-long retreats. With their six-part process, you are guided through how to deeply relax and let go, then how to carry this out into your life. life affirming

There's nothing original about the ideas in this self-help title - focus on what's important, not on what others think of you. If you're stuck in a rut, get off your a** and take some action. Find time to do things that you enjoy. Et cetera, et cetera.

However, the audiobook is an easy listen, and a lot cheaper than psychotherapy. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and reinforces the messages in an interesting way.

Profane but not profound

I’ve listened to this several times and passed it on to dozens of people. Great book, helps bring everything into perspective and helps to realign your thoughts and bring them into perspective. Highly recommended.

Cracking book. Brings things into perspective.

overall, it's a good listen. there are parts which seem to babble on for too long and go off topic.

good to have on in the background on long car journeys

What made the experience of listening to F--k It Therapy the most enjoyable?

I enjoyed the relaxed tone of the presentation. Yes, I know some people will criticise this book as offering little that's new, but it's nicely done, straightforward, tries to be realistic, and yet challenging.

What does John C Parkin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

He sounds relaxed, and I get a good sense of his character through his voice.

Any additional comments?

The original F**k It book was recommended to me some years ago, and it's only now that I've sat down to listen to its most recent incarnation. There's a lot of good stuff here: it may sound over-simplistic but the core concepts are sound. If you're into this kind of thing. Which I am.

F**k It - I liked this
