Give this to your people pleasing friends

This book was a breath of fresh air. I didn't realize I was guilty of trying to please everybody and how destructive that impulse can be. The author clearly defines situations when its ok to say no to people. It's not about being rude, just defining your boundaries. The tips are practical and the message is easy to understand. Makes a great "read" while going for a walk. I found it especially helpful to listen to it if somebody just upset me. Great little book.

Quit pleasing people!

I enjoyed this self-help listen. I think it gives the right confidence to take back the reins to our life. I like the chapter that says that actually, the only person that we need to care for and listen to is ourselves; we don't have to mind to please other people. Nice short audiobook!

Stop Giving a Fck What Other People Think

I liked this audiobook because people pleasing is one of the biggest mistake we can make. People don't care about you, they are too worried about their own life and challenges. The only thing we accomplished by people pleasing is getting fake friends that don't like us for who we are and nobody wants that. So I can really recommend listening to this audiobook!

Vindicating, Healthy, Crucial

I find myself to be overly accommodating to people in my life. Whether in the work place, or in personal relationships, part of this tendency to defer comes from my sense of empathy. However this tendency to accommodate others either physically or emotionally, is often at the expense of my own emotional or mental health. Someone recommended this title to me as a way to establish a stronger sense of self worth, and to learn techniques for establishing stronger personal boundaries with individuals in my life. What a great decision this was! F*CK People-Pleasing was was a critical move for me, not only in acquiring techniques for greater personal autonomy and confidence, but in understanding the sources of these tendencies in myself. Since having listened I've gained a number of tools to help stand up for myself in a variety of conditions, and can feel myself becoming more comfortable in taking a stand for my own well-being. For anyone struggling with people pleasing, giving away personal power/confidence, I would absolutely recommend this title!

Short but to the point

I think this should be in everyone's audible library, it's short, it's succinct, and it's sufficient to get the point across about not caring about everyone else's opinion.

Great book to learn how to put yourself first

The narration seems slower than normal. I put the audiobook at 1.5x and it sounds more natural. The book is short, concise, and to the point. I love the it provides example conversation of how you can verbally respond to others in different scenarios in a more assertive way. Good book on how to create a healthy boundary for yourself.
