Summary

Technologically there’s never been a better time to search for a new earth beyond our solar system.

Professor Danielle George examines exoplanets in the so-called habitable zone. Those that have liquid water. And maybe even life.

She wonders how we might be able to take the our first ever high resolution picture of an exoplanet using the microchips found in mobile phones. And she meets world-leading astrophysicists to ask if within our lifetimes humans might step foot on an earth-like planet.

Ruined by incidental music alongside the narration

I tried to listen to this fascinating podcast, but kept being distracted by never knowing when background music would detract from my being able to focus on the narration.
Please stop doing this, Amazon! Please don't have background music while people are talking. Save it for the beginning and the end, or in between chapters if you must.

Let's go exo!

This podcast is perfect for launching your imagination into interstellar space while our Earth is locked down. The passion of all involved was vitalising.I was initially very cynical of Amazon as a company but my opinion has slightly changed through making these wonderful educational resources available.A big thank you and well done to all involved for reminding us just how incredible existence is!

Utterly enjoyable

I only wish there were more episodes. My curiosity is reawakened and I'll be reading more about exo planets going forward as well as keeping an eye out for more work by the Professor Danielle George

It's clearly quite fun to say Jodrell Bank. "Jodrell Bank, Jodrell Bank, Jodrell Bank!" Aaaah.

Fascinating

I really enjoyed this audio book. The contribution of a range of experts was outstanding as was Danielle 's summary. The only minor negative was her occasional tendency to speak too quickly, but her enthusiasm for the subject may explain it.
