Astronomers have recently discovered thousands of planets that orbit stars throughout the Milky Way. Much of what has captured the imagination of planetary scientists and the public is the unexpected strangeness of these distant worlds. The sizes, masses, and orbits of exoplanets detected so far raise new questions about how planets form and evolve. This book would be great for anyone with a direct interest in exoplanets, those with a scientific background and those who just wish to broaden their general knowledge.

Covering historical, current and planned future events and discoveries, this book takes the listener methodically through all aspects of exoplanetary studies. The narration is superb and engaging and overall this is the best book on the subject I have listened to.
