Story
Twelve-year-old Sophie has never quite fit into her life. She’s skipped multiple grades and doesn’t really connect with the older kids at school, but she’s not comfortable with her family, either. The reason? Sophie’s a Telepath, someone who can read minds. No one knows her secret - at least, that’s what she thinks.... But the day Sophie meets Fitz, a mysterious (and adorable) boy, she learns she’s not alone. He’s a Telepath too, and it turns out the reason she has never felt at home is that, well...she isn’t. Fitz opens Sophie’s eyes to a shocking truth....

Best Book Ever!!!!!
In the beginning, Sophie is assigned an over protective Goblin bodyguard named Sandor.
And Finally another Alicorn that can stop the timeline to Extinction! The female Alicorn meets the only other Male Alicorn, Grayfell! But, the Neverseen tries to blackmail the council to the timeline to extinction... Will they succeed?
Sophie also goes to Exile (A underground prison) with Alden for a memory break on Fintan. But on the way back, Alden finds guilt coming his way because of the sacrifice on Pretise. Then Alden's sanity breaks, while Fitz and Biana blames Sophie for the reason.
In the end, the black swan sends Sophie a note for her to ride the Alicorn, Silvenny to their Secret hideout with her friend Keefe, in that time, Keefe's Mom was the leader of the Neverseen, she had attached a listening device for her to listen to his conversations. So when the Sophie is done, the neverseen ambushed them and seriously injured the alicorn, so she couldn't fly back to safety, and then they're pushed down a cliff by the neverseen, and when all of them think they're sure to die, Sophie manifests a new ability:Teleporting. And she Teleports them back to safety! And Finally, Silvenny's recovered! Yay!

Overall very solid
Sophie goes on another adventure in this one, searching for answers as to who she is and who made her that way and why. She also wants to save one of the people she has always looked up to from a terrible fate - which she may or may not have inadvertently caused -, to do so however, she has to face her biggest fears
In the very beginning of the book she meets an alicorn, who she befriends and has to train, and while I did like their relationship and how it all was done, I did think the whole friend, fly, free, safe thing got pretty annoying, damn quickly.
Also the sheer amount of times Sophie blushed or her crushing manifested in other ways bothered me, I keep hoping this will get better as the series goes on and the characters age with the story, but so far it does not seem to be going my way. ( And yes, I am perfectly well aware that this series was not written with me in mind)
I did think the mind magic was desribed very well, and I think it was one of the better aspects of this book. But I feel we got to see less of the world in this one and also a lot less of the school setting.
The main relationship that was developed in this book I liked a lot, and the friendship elements in this were heartfelt and heartwarming.
( I still like Harry Potter better as a series, so far; it's had a better sense of fun, some characters I liked better and a more compelling and colorful magic system, that said though I still feel like I like Sophhie a little more than Harry, as she doesn't have this tendency to seem so.... clueless)
Still excited about this series, though I don't know if I will be continuing if the next two books don't draw me in completely
The narration was great. She has a voice that adapts itself very well to the many voices she has to pull of. The only thing that bothers me about it, and keeps me from absolutely loving it is when she reads Sophie's actual lines she has this tendency to make her sound very whiney, but that might just be because the character is still very young
