like the voice performances, they bring the characters alive for me. I like the way this series balances hero antics with heroics from ordinary people too. good fun superhero story

I've power listened to all of these after buying the first on spec - enjoyable and different take on zombies and heros

i love this series, the writer knows how to draw the reader into the world from the perspective of the heroes, the villains and the ordinary people just trying to survive in a hostile future. i hope he writes in the future

The Ex-heroes books are generally excellent, and Clines' writing is usually exceptionally well plotted.
This just seemed to spin its wheels for most of the book and then end. The flashbacks didn't really fit in or add anything - it feels like half a book with the conclusion omitted.

So, not his best book (that would be 14) but still better than The Walking Dead.
