it was amazing! I really felt bad for Harlow going through what she did and her ex was a right jerk! I'm so glad she found Dax, or rather he found her
It's an amazing story and an absolute must listen , the narrator's were perfect for the parts they played

I loved it, it’s not your typical romance. She’s older, he’s younger, but they both have a past that could lead them to get hurt. I think the writer told the story beautifully without it being like she creeped on a younger man. Love is love. This is the first I have read from this author and narrator. They both blew my socks off. The narration was spot on! I can’t say how much I really enjoyed this listen. And the epilogue was so fitting. Awesome book.

Harlow is at The Pearl because her life is in an upheaval..her husband is divorcing her, her son that she tried so hard to conceive, was still-born. She is angry and sad and doesn’t think she wants to live. She decides to live...
Dax owns The Pearl, and shows up early hoping to be able to work there... he finds Harlow asleep and her gun in the table with her suicide note. He is worried... but leaves to stay with his grandmother.
They meet, get to know one another and become involved. He begins to wonder if she lied to him about being on the pill.. and when he confronts her... she admits she did and he is very angry. Ah elevates to return to New York, but goes back a stronger woman who won’t take crap from her ex or from the hospital that let her go due to her ex being on staff.
What happens to their relationship? What is the result of her lie about being on the pill??
I promise you will find out the answers in this audiobook... and I KNOW you will enjoy the listen!! Melissa Moran and Joe Hempel do a great job with the narration!!!

This was an interesting insta-love, older women, young man story.
The characters where okay, I didn't really feel a true connection with them though. What I loved was the place and the descriptions of it, it made me want to be there. And the food, so mamy delicious plates.
The story was good, Harlow got to found true love when she less expectec to and when she was at her lowest.
I would have love for Harlow & Dax to have more time together in the book, specially after the conflict between them is settled, because after that everything was so rushed and we didn't get more closure, it goes straight to the epilogue and leave me wanting more.
The narrattion by Melissa Moran and Joe Hempel was perfect, they both have great voices, excellent tone and paced, and I truly enjoyed it.
