About this listen

In the newly revised and updated edition of Everybody Writes, marketer and author Ann Handley improves on her Wall Street Journal bestselling book that's helped hundreds of thousands become better, more confident writers.

In this brand-new edition, she delivers all the practical, how-to advice and insight you need for the process and strategy of content creation, production, and publishing.

This new edition also includes: all-new examples, tools, resources; an updated step-by-step writing framework; added and expanded chapters that reflect the evolution of content marketing (and evolution of Ann's thinking about what works today); the same witty and practical how-to approach; how to attract and retain customers with stellar online communication; how to choose your words well, sparingly, and with honest empathy for your customers; best practices and ideas for crafting credible, trustworthy content; and more.

Content marketing has evolved. Yet writing matters more than ever.

In this new edition of Everybody Writes, you'll find the strategies, techniques, tips, and tools you'll need to refine, upgrade, and (most of all) inspire your own best content marketing.

Clear, concise and funny - plus a TONNE of valuable information. It was hard to stop listening.

I appreciated the choppy, to the point sentences, they made it really easy to digest and remember.

I’ll be dipping in and out of this one again in the future - five stars, 100% recommended.

I Loved this book!

I got this to accompany the physical book, so I could effectively be reading while doing other things. I've done this with other writing books such as Epic Content Writing, and it worked really well.

I enjoy the physical book, but this audiobook is just a bit rubbish.

1. Much of the content doesn't lend itself to audio. I don't want to hear a whole chapter on words that sound the same but are spelled differently; that's comically silly. Other audiobooks would recognise this and skip past it.

2. The narrator sounds like an AI. There's an attempt at light-hearted and quirky but it sounds monotonous and boring. This isn't helped by the clipped, whitespace-heavy content which, again, works in text but not audio.

3. There is one chapter (16?) which loops for about 15 minutes. Didn't anyone proof this?

4. One fault I have with both versions of the book is that it's American and has done strange ideas about what UK English is.

So, overall, I don't recommend it. If you want a lightweight, light-hearted introduction to modern content writing, skim through the physical book.

Doesn't work as an audiobook
