Summary

Never marry a stranger...even if he is a drop-dead gorgeous immortal king. Never pretend to be a princess. And most importantly...never slip on an ancient wedding ring that you know nothing about.

Sarah Larker returns to visit a cave where her sister disappeared ten years earlier. While in the cave, she walks through a portal and is soon mistaken for a princess on the run from a dangerous immortal, medieval king. Her plan is bold as well as daring - become this princess, wed the king, and slip on an ancient wedding ring that will unlock the portal back home. Then, find her sister and get out as fast as she can.

However, assuming the identity of Princess Gloria brings dangerous consequences, and slipping on the ruby ring comes at an even higher price.

It’s okay...

I was really looking forward to this book but unfortunately was left feeling really disappointed and struggled to finish. The story sounded perfect but the main character and basically every female character was whiny.... they just couldn’t seem to do anything by themselves and basically waited until a male character came and rescued them. I think the main character should have been a lot mentally stronger and although she was in charge and had her moments, she tried and failed then waited for rescue. The narrator had a nice clear voice but even she gave them whiny voices.
I was really looking forward to this book as I love time travel stories with a bit of romance chucked in but I just really struggled. It’s a shame the ideas were there and it could of been a fantastic book it was well written but the characters were lacking.
