About this listen

I thought I’d lost my fated mate until he shows up years later. Only with no memory of me. Or us.

As Beta of the Aspen Pack, I was forced to watch our former Alpha turn to dark magic and destroy the bonds of our people.

I nearly died trying to save us, but I broke the biggest taboo: I told the others that cat-shifters existed and almost lost everything in return.

We have a new Alpha, a new future, and a dangerous and mysterious enemy threatening our stable balance. And a new Tracker.

The man who looks like my dead mate.

You will need tissues, oh you will need tissues. That one person can go through so much and still be an amazing and caring person, the characters I met were just next level. I found the storyline to be exciting and fast paced with brilliant pacing. Each time I start a Carrie Ann book i know it will be impossible to return to real life until the end and I never want to press pause

The narration choice with this one was incredible there was so much feeling and emotions that the narrator passed on and it made it just that next level.

Incredible

I thought Audrey had suffered enough under that horrid ex alpha of hers. I was wrong. she suffered more than I can ever imagine, losing your Mate just after you found them would be unimaginable - but she shouldered that soul wrenching burden as well as what she saw and had to do under her previous alpha. she is beyond strong, beyond amazing and I want to give her a great big squish....then we have Gavin, just when you think the tissues can be put away, here comes Gavin and the emotions come all over again. I cried with them as they started their journey only to find that once again their love isn't on an easy path and a BLEEPER is discovered (nope I am not gonna spoil it) suffice if to say this book is amazing and I cannot say how much I loved it. I'm a reader, Carrie Ann Ryan is the author, I'll just send hugs and love through this review

Did not see the bleepers coming

What a fabulous start to the Aspen series. High drama, high angst. Well written characters. I’m thoroughly engrossed in this world having just finished the Talon Series. Great narration

Great story 👏👏👏

This is my first fantasy/shifter book, they are not my usual listen, however, I love Carrie Ann Ryan and her writing is always amazing. I actually ended up liking the book and really enjoyed Gavin and Audrey's story. It's a story of love, second-chances, and had great romance. It has plenty of action/suspense and just a great and engaging story. A great series starter with wonderful narration.

It’s a new beginning for the Aspen pack. I like the story of the Beta with kind of guilty conscience and the newcomer who looks just like her dead mate. So while that is happening the undead creatures lurking around other packs seem to make their way to them and they will show up and try to take over. Exciting first book, lots of suspenseful moments and of course an awesome romance with solid characters. Loved the listen and the narrators.

Great start for the Aspen pack!
