MUST HAVE and listen!!

Some great research and principles, this should be taught in schools and business. The world would be a much happier, more peaceful and more productive place. I really like how they have the easy to digest half and the deep science and research half.

Valuable

Good, down-to-earth guidelines. Still going through the book as there are many writing exercises. I am liking it a lot. My husband, not so much. When it came to writing and journal keeping, he pretty much set it aside.

learn how to be happy!

Your book Mindworks is very informative. Most important for me, it's been extremely valuable in my own work. Your stories and examples are clear, concise and provide insight. The chapters have given me as many gifts as I've reread them several times. Each time another gift presents itself. Chapter Five, "Perspective" could be an all-time great read for me. Seeing it as a mirror of sorts to examine time and time again.

Not the best choice for an audible

I was hoping for something with more meat to it, but should probably have realized that with a listening time of 1,5 hours it can't go into too much detail. This book has a lot of lists, and a hard copy book might make more sense to use for reference rather than trying to listen to it. I'm sorry to say this, but the narrator sounds as if a computer is reading it.

cool

A lot of fun points. Such as, people continually stuff their heads with worthless data (news addiction), and the myth of the importance of the rational mind. Definitely some new ways of looking at the world. Learning about submodalities was also very useful, and acquainting emotions I am very sure of with visualizations. These days I am getting hardcore into visualizing as a way to pump up my motivation levels on a daily basis, which has doubled my productivity so far – so this is a good book if you’re doing anything similar with your life.

nice book

Excellent book. I listen it for my seminary class. I was not enjoying the early chapters on anatomy of brain; that's just not my wheelhouse. But the sociological and psychological stuff was profound.

worthful bookk

This book was well worth the money. A fantastic explanation of the biological workings of the brain, and its relationship to outward emotional expression and interpersonal relationships.
