Great fun

Jeremy Northam gives the characters hilarious voices even making Mrs E sound like Maggie Smith

Well read but...

...there's so much left out that the story makes no sense! Emma and Knightley's most important scenes are left out or so abbreviated they're meaningless, so at the end you're left wondering where his declaration of love and her acceptance of it came from!

Shorter than expected!

Very well read but had not realised it was an abridged version. Still very enjoyable though!

Beautiful narration.

Superb narration by Jeremy Northam. Could only be improved by it being unabridged! Would highly recommend anything read by him.

Abridged Version, enhanced by Northam narration

Of course we all wish that this was the unabridged version with Jeremy Northam narration. But sadly he has only narrated this abridged version. However, regardless of that fact I purchased and love this audio book because I love Jane Austen and I adore the voice of Jeremy Northam. Audible please get us more Jeremy Northam narrated books.

Jeremy Northam, incredible narrator

While I have previously read Emma, Jeremy Northam's narration made revisiting this an easy decision. Delightful Austen story, outstanding delivery.

Wish it were unabridged!

This is a wonderful recording of a beloved novel, read by the 1996 Mr. Knightley himself. I only wish it were an unabridged version, as so much had to be left out. Still an enjoyable listen, wee worth the Audible credit.

HIGHLY abridged, but it's Jeremy Northam!!!

I loved Mr. Northam in the movie. It was a treat to listen to his narration. It's sooooooo abridged as to be almost painful - it's almost an abridgment of the movie! - but I have no regrets about the purchase.
