Killer or target?

Dr. Kelly Irving knew her husband, attorney Jack Harbaugh, was acting strangely but figured they’d get through it. When she backed out of her garage that morning, she thought her car hit a bump. Instead, its progress was stopped by the body of a man her husband recently represented. Not only that, the dead man had been shot by her husband’s gun.

The police who investigated made it clear that Jack was a primary suspect. Kelly couldn’t decide if Jack was a murderer or marked as the next victim. As things continued to escalate, they were forced to put their marital differences aside and concentrate on keeping Jack alive while discovering who was behind the whole thing.

I enjoyed listening to this cosy mystery, which was quick and entertaining. The plot line was a little predictable, but the dialogue was humorous and narration quite lively.

This is a page turning story . That you will be holding your breath from beginning till the end . Emergency Case is Dr. Richard Mabry's First one that I listen, Its a mystery that will have you wondering till the end along with the characters.

Hero Jack. Heroine is Kelly
Jack and Kelly are newlyweds that they decide to make a living in a small town .
They both do jobs that they love , Jack as a lawyer, and Kelly as a doctor . Jack was forced to take on a case , he felt weird about taking on the client, he is racking his mind wondering where he has seen those eyes that belong to his client, Jack thinks they belong to a killer . What does Jack do. Grab it and see . You will not be disappointed

Bill was great telling this story . He has the right voice , which is strong , clear and smooth

This was a nice easy to follow long thriller. It was quite short but still enjoyable and good if you have a few hours to fill in and hate stopping in the middle of a story.
Jack is a lawyer who gets talked, against his better judgment,in to taking on a shady client and then things go down hill from there for him and his doctor wife. What was a simple case snowballs into dead bodies, missing guns, car crashes and becoming suspects themselves. With the police questioning there every move and not sure who to trust the couple have to come together to stay a live.
The narrator was very good and the couple of hours just flew by in a blink as it was very well read .
