Summary

The harder we try to change, the deeper in the hole we get. We find a new partner but have the same old fights. We strive for an ever bigger paycheck but end up broke at a higher income bracket. This is what happens when the basic principle of life - the law of emergence - is disrupted, stopping you from knowing that you are the perfect you. There is not a part of you from beginning to end that isn't exactly what you should be.

Emergence provides the foundation to reengage with this ancient principle. In this seven-stage framework, spiritual life coach Derek Rydall shows that we aren't lacking anything; everything we need to fulfill our full potential is already inside us. Backed by an ancient truth that has largely been lost, Rydall changes the conversation around how to achieve your potential by showing you how to activate the genius already in you and empower your purpose in life.

overall a great book full of love

overall this is a great book full of love and wisdom.
story got 4 starts becuase the beginning was too hippy for me and also full of "facts" that just weren't true.
basically the process of emergence is NLP, he just doesnt call it this way. combines timeline therapy and some basic NLP skills, and stoic philosophy, nevertheless, the way the story and excercises go is perfect and the tone it is conveyed in is just full of love and truly gives a liberating feeling.
I definitely recommend giving it a go, it is better than most self help books.
enjoy!

The Law of Emergence- Pulling from within

Where does Emergence rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The best book ever- Number 1 in my list so far!

What did you like best about this story?

He teaches self reliance and self dependence, which means you can only draw to you what you already have. The book tells you not to attract things but to become that which you seek.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I wanted to listen in one setting, but it is long. This was not a problem as the author is captivating so it was easy to listen to.

Any additional comments?

Fantastic concept that works if you apply it- wonderful! Thank you Derek!

it's all in there, you just have to find it!

this is an interesting book but waffles a bit. I would have preferred more tips that I could implement in my life to get me started. I'm sure it's all in there but I'll have to read it again!

A truly inspiring book

Absolutely loved this book, I've bought the hard copy too so I can underline and highlight key points and keep referring back. I love Derek's emergence theory, I highly recommend this book to anyone who's looking for more, who's frustrated in trying and failing to get to the next level. It's narrated by Derek too and is great to listen to.

The missing truth

If you could sum up Emergence in three words, what would they be?

cry of sonship

What did you like best about this story?

He explained how he grew in the stages of emergance

What did you learn from Emergence that you would use in your daily life?

Remember who you are at your core and that that person is complete and needs to come forth

Any additional comments?

This book bridges the gap between trying to be enough to excepting and allowing the real you to come forth

Amazing, Inspiring, Power House, Mood Changer

Would you listen to Emergence again? Why?

Yes, and again and again... This book changes your mood to positive. Rydell just keeps it coming it's a page turner edge of your seat listening book.

What did you like best about this story?

The encouragement just keeps coming. Just when you thought you heard the most powerful self awakening line he punches you with another one and another one. I listen to this book on my way to work, while waiting anywhere. Every little opportunity I get I am listening and sharing my experience with others.

Which scene was your favorite?

When he talks about weeds growing in your lawn as and example of trouble or bad things happening in your life. He says its not abnormal that trouble or problems exist its a part of life and just like you maintain your lawn by pulling up weeds is the same thing you do in life with problems and unexpected things that don't belong.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

Know matter how much an oak tree wishes its acorns will grow to be apple trees they will never be an apple tree because they were created to be an oak tree.

Any additional comments?

I definitely have to read this book a few more times before I master it but I am progressing with the information I have heard thus far. AWESOMENESS, I love this book.

Listen Twice

It's a lot of material that will bring forth a lot of insights, epiphanies and confirmation of what you've been thinking. I agree with the author, I listen to this once all the way through and then re-listening to do the exercises he recommends.

Awesome audio book

I mostly listened to this while driving. It was great. Derek did an awesome job of narration. I never felt like falling asleep! There are a few excersise that I couldn't fully apply because I was behind the wheel, but the bookmark button saved them all for me. So glad I picked this one I was struggling.

Finally a full book from the Master teacher

Would you consider the audio edition of Emergence to be better than the print version?

I love Derek's work and am so glad to see an audiobook by Derek embodying his diverse synthesis.

Powerful new perspective on the Law of Attraction

This book and its principles and profound yet simple exercises have had a deep and beneficial impact on me in just a few months. And I trust will continue as I keep working them. Highly recommend. Bit you've got to DO THE WORK.
