First of all, Declan is my new book boyfriend. He really has swoon-worthy characteristics. He is firm but fair with kids. He is willing to go the extra mile for Elina. He prioritizes family first and respects Elina's need to put her kids first. In fact, Elina is a single mother and Declan couldn't be more supportive.

That said, M Garzon has really captured the reality of being a single parent. She hasn't softened the edges because parenting is demanding, messy and exhausting. Despite all that it is also fulfilling and incredible.

That said, Elina and her two children really deserve a wonderful man like Declan. After all, who doesn't love a man who works with his hands?
