From what we know of history, Egypt, along with Sumer, were the foundations of civilization. The Fertile Crescent, which stretched from the Nile Valley to the twin rivers in Mesopotamia, gave us our earliest glimpse of organized man. But organized how? My 7yo daughter, Marry, loves mythology books. We have read quite a few. This series, in particular, held his attention a lot longer than most. She likes all the facts about dates, locations, relation to other gods/goddesses. This book does a good job of informing.
