Gaia has ordered the Golems to protect humanity, but their "protection" against the environment is sending humanity to the brink of starvation. Although I enjoyed the story which I have to say was brilliantly narrated. The MC and Sella relationship fragments but for the distance between them seemed forced and unbelievable from my point of view.
