Story
Alistern “Stern” Masterson never expected to have the sort of life he found himself living. He was an irregular - a person who looked like the undead and had unusual perks - and his life hadn’t been very pleasant, so he’d written off the idea of ever finding anyone who understood him. Then, an old lady had asked for help, and he’d given it....

Story
John Doc Henry had been on the shortest, crappiest end of the stick since the first day of his life; no parents, bad foster parents, and abysmal luck at every turn. The day his life changed started out exactly like he had come to expect. His car died on a rarely traveled road, and he broke his toe shortly after dodging the one other car on the road. When it stopped and backed up to him, the license plate read “LADYLUK”, adding insult to injury.

Story
Sean was just waiting for his best friend to show up at the bar so they could play some pool. It came as a shock when the tall blonde man accosted Sean and demanded that he change seats. His refusal would change his life. When the fight ended, Sean found himself in the strangest meeting of his life. Odin, Archangel Michael, Lucifer, and Morrigan all vied for his soul, each offering different deals. Sean had to choose, so he chose to go with the goddess of Fate, Death, and Battle.

Story
Alvin woke in a room that was not his, to discover that he had died and his brain had been bargained off cheaply to pay off someone else’s debt. It did not sit well with him. It didn’t surprise him that even in death, people were still using him for their own purposes. He had never exactly been a good guy, but everyone had their breaking point, and he had found his. The bastards in charge had uploaded his mind into a virtual death game. The whole world could now pay to see him play it and probably die. Regardless, he was not about to wait for death to come for him.

Every year, the empire administers the rite of passage into adulthood. That rite serves to identify those blessed by Aether to become magi. The new magi are shipped to the academy to learn the arts of magic. The academy is a dangerous place; the tournaments held twice each year can cripple or kill the students, and the clans of the empire will go to great lengths to recruit the students they want. Gregory had one dream: to become a magi like the legends of old. Though he was ridiculed by the residents of the village and his unsupportive father, he never wavered from his dream.

When freakish storms envelope the Earth, people start disappearing without a trace. Wild theories abound: Is it aliens, spontaneous combustion, or perhaps quantum entanglement? The only ones who might know are those who have vanished. An average group of gamers is setting up to start a new campaign. The storms rage across the world, but they only care about the game they are about to start. Little do they know that they would be next to disappear from the face of the Earth.

Reports to write, forms to fill, coffee to drink, leads to run down. Gus’s life was a tedium and boredom he’d grown comfortable with. One that he sought out after he’d come back from his tour of duty. A detective in the paranormal investigations department. A job he could work day in and day out in relative peace. One cold and forgotten cup of coffee at a time. It was an environment that made some sense to him. At least in comparison to civilian life where almost nothing did. On top of that, it gave him a chance to hide what he was from the rest of the world.

Accidentally murdered by a cleric in another universe during a botched resurrection, Arnold, a semi-pro gamer, wakes upon an altar to find himself incarnated into the overweight body of a farmer who could have been his fatter twin. He’s not the hero. He’s not the villain. He’s certainly not the chosen one who is there to save the world. He’s a clerical error. It could be a bad joke, but apparently, it happens so often that they have a standard procedure for returning you.

Summary
Dungeon Walkers brave the depths of the dungeons for personal gain - clearing a dungeon means dungeon points to purchase gear with, but more importantly, perks. Perks are the main reason Walkers put their lives on the line. Every time a dungeon is cleared the first time, a Walker gets a choice of three perks that could change their lives.
Not every Walker makes it out alive. When someone dies in the dungeon, their soul is fragmented into four shards, which can be purchased for dungeon points. Collecting all four shards and taking them to a temple of the Goddess means the dead can live again. There is a sub-sect of Walkers that makes it their goal to bring the dead back from the dungeons - they’re called the Rescue Squad.
Stern is intent on joining the ranks of Rescue Squad. Finally done with his six months at the academy, he is about to make his first run through a dungeon. It will not be easy - he doesn’t have a crew, or a team, to run it with. Stern is an irregular - someone born with unusual perks - and unfortunately, looking like the blighted. Being seen as blighted has made Stern’s life hell, but he keeps pushing on, intent on making his goal real.
Despite his hardships, he’s been blessed with the unusual perk of his life-long friend, Pawly. Pawly is a polydactyl Maine Coon, who is protective of her friend and eager to help him reach his goal. With his friend beside him, Stern is ready to start his adventure.
(This book contains non-standard relationships and touches upon adult situations.)

Great start but dropped at the end
I really enjoyed the beginning and even the midde of the book but at the last 2 hours or so it turns into a completely different story and more into a complex romance. It isn't necessarily bad but its not the story thats in the description anymore.

Started off really great, then....
There's a large part dedicated to this weird 3way, harem, involving some traumatized girl. And is nothing but lame emotions and relationship navigating. Just awful. i had to fast forward the last 1/4 of the book. So disappointing given some of the other, interesting aspects.
Just a weird, boring, juvenile, harem section taking up the latter half.
What is with the middle school like cataloging of every kiss?
That 3way relationship could of been summed up in a paragraph, not multiple chapters."Supprisngly both girls like me and each other. Also, normal girl will help bunny with trauma, and me with my d."
If I want to read about romance, I'll by that kind of book. Same with eroticism.
That character was right, the Mc's nice guy shit gets beyond "lame." It's corny. This was written by a 12 year old white knight, or a girl. It's not "male bonding" it just sex dude, and women talk about it more then men.

Ugh!
I suppose one could consider this novel a fantasy but Audible really should have classified a book as this in the major category of LGBTQ+, sub-genre Fantasy.
The MC is a loner and not a leader type. Instead he has his female cat familiar as his fighter. That in itself gave me a spidey itch but since he was able to clear a couple of dungeons and had one of my favorite narrators performing for it, I decided to keep going. Without dropping too many spoilers, I will just mention some adjectives that will give a hint at what follows, furries, empath, incel, empath, domineering women, empath, momma's boy ... rinse, rankle, repeat.
I'll be returning this to Audible.

Starts out as an amazing story until the Baton swi
Is this started out as an amazing story with great promise until the bat and switch It's the ways it started out as though the author was turning over a new chapter expanding himself as a writer but then at It's the last 20% it seems as though he fell back into writing the same books over and over where he Is introduces a polyamorous relationship which muddies up until there was an amazing book even with it does Enhance This Is the same time it just seems that's not Is appropriate to the character's potlines it's it's maybe that I've read his other books and this when it starts out was just Something that showed he wanted to go away from that that he wanted to go outside his safety net and then He fell back into his safety zone stopped expanding who he was as a writer because it mixed it seem so hes afraid to be more to go out of his comfort zone of having to use a relationship not so much enhancement but a crutch This is why I say it starts out amazing story but then it becomes a big switch Hopefully he can create a story soon and will be confident enough in himself to go outside of This comfort zone And write a book without a A 3 way relationship

Good story, but a bit reverse haremish
The story is pretty god, with nice storytelling and worldbuilding. Plus for skipping detailing menial tasks, like many authors don't do. Would liked a bit more progress.
MC is supernice a bit of a wuzz to a point unrealistic.
The girls are super bi, like alot of harem, which also feels unrealistic. One of the girls lusts for anything and the other does almost nothing with the MC. This gives it a alot of a reverse harem felling, but with a girl on top. Guy feels like a doormat that can't get jealous. Its not what I enjoy.

It started out OK then took a nose dive.
This book makes you feel like you have missed a whole backstory. Was there something before this one? If so, the summary should have mentioned it. Next, the sexual tension and developing harem group dynamic brought it from an interesting plot to the usual rinse and repeat story line. I'm returning it unfinished.

Fun twist on duingeons
This book had a new and fun twist on the generic duongeon diving genre. It took a sort of broken charector and showed how much determination he had. Showed how solid his family upbringing was. Then showed how much he could love. The best part of the book happend in the last 4 or 5 minutes and it was a huge, AH SHIT THAT MAKES TOTAL SENSE MOMENT! Give this book a shot, Daniel Schinhofen at his best, and if you enjoy awesome pets this book is for you!
