About this listen

Erin Doyle can't stand manwhores, and she particularly can't stand Brendan Langstrom - the guy who avoids relationships like the plague and never sleeps with the same girl twice.

She and Brendan have waged a war of mutual disdain for years, but when Brendan picks up the pieces after her world unravels, they'll be forced to admit that beneath their dislike is something else entirely - something they're not supposed to feel. Because Brendan isn't just her nemesis...he's also her fiancé's best friend.

Contains mature themes.

I've read the first book in the series, and really enjoyed it. So was really excited when the book was available. Honestly I really didn't like the story, and I really, really, really didn't like the FMC . She was just so childish, I often had thoughts of DFN but was always hoping that it would get better. it didn't, what a waste of time. Maybe it's because I'm past my 40's , but one thing I can't stand is wishy washy FMC.

I really liked this story. There is depth to both main characters that we get to dig through. Both narrators are great. I love the short back and forth between the 2.

The only thing that bothered me for my taste in stories, is we went on such a journey, that I wanted more from the ending. But I know for others it will be a perfect.

Spice is low
Laughter is high. I personally like Harper.
Story has depth, but also an easy listen.

Story is good

Good story and well written. My only quibble was the male narrator didn’t match with the voice I had in my head for Brendan. And I’m not sure there is a fix for this but why do male narrator’s doing female voices always make them sound like whiny, dislikable women. It’s really off putting.
