My first audiobook read and I’m hooked! Such a good story line! Would 100% recommend.

Sutton agrees to go on a blind date with a doctor who is about to leave the country to work in Africa. Before she commits to her Foundation Junior Doctors course at the local hospital, she is unaware that the man sitting in front of her is not the one flying away. Jacob has stepped in to help his brother, who is nursing a broken nose and, unfortunately, cannot make the date.
After they both agree to avoid discussing their main shared interest—medicine—the two strangers quickly realise they are attracted to each other. They can't wait for the bill to arrive before rushing back to Sutton's one-bedroom flat for a more intimate evening.
However, the next day, as she begins her new post, Sutton discovers that the doctor she spent the night with is actually her new boss!
Now she fears that, after all her hard work and sacrifices to get to this point, her one night of passion might ruin her long-standing plans.

This is the first book of Louise Bay's that I've listened to, and I loved it. I have already downloaded the second book in this series, and won't hesitate to listen to more.
It was an Audible recommendation to me, because I've listened to so many books narrated by both Shane East & Claire Corbett separately, although this is the first time I've heard them narrate a book together. They brought a wonderful story to life brilliantly. Can't wait to listen to them narrate more of Louise's books in the future 😊

I have listened to all audios from Louise and think this is my favourite Sutton and Jacob were different , Sutton reminded me of educating Rita slightly Which I loved , and Jacob was hooked on her from the very start . the narrators were 100% on it so important not all authors appreciate the importance of good narration thankfully Louise does . all I can say thanks for a really 5 star listen

Well, having worked in hospitals and healthcare for over 20 years it was great to read a book where the author got it right. The nuances of working in a hospital and the medical jargon used were on point. Well done, Louise, you clearly did your research.

Sutton and Jacob meet on an accidental blind date where Jacob is pretending to be his younger brother. They hit it off right from the start and enjoy a delicious dinner with some extra-curricular dessert! Come Monday morning they find themselves not only working in the same hospital but yeah, he’s her new boss! Cue workplace angst and references to Dr. McDreamy! After resisting their urges for so long the dam breaks and it’s all on, on like donkey kong. Pun intended! They wrestle with what’s important in their lives, career or love and eventually work out they just want to be together. With cameos from some of the Mister characters, this is sweet n steamy and a little fit feely romance you’ll love.

Clare was a new narrator for me and she did flustered new doctor well. Her accent was authentic, and I really believed her performance. Shane, a frequent flyer in LB’s book narrations was back and giving us all the steamy doctor wrestling with ethics vibes. A great audiobook sure to get many a heart racing. Give me some beta blockers. I'm having palpitations!
