Cartels, Spies, and Government Corruption
Finn and Mary have just assassinated a wealthy businessman in Fort Worth whose organization was distributing drugs for the cartels and selling weapons to them in exchange.
Finn and Mary work for Phorcys, a black ops contractor which until this job has contracted with the U.S. government. Phorcys has a new client this time. They're working for Mexico, which is responding to pressure from the U.S. to stop the cartels from bringing drugs in along the Texas Gulf Coast.
After a day's rest aboard their sailboat in Kemah to recover from their first mission, Finn and Mary are driving to Brownsville, searching for places the cartels might land drugs. They're attacked en route by two men sent to avenge the businessman they killed.
Finn and Mary overpower the attackers, but they're ambushed several more times during their survey of the coast. They leave a trail of bodies across south Texas.
With increasing evidence that their opponents have inside information about Phorcys, Mary begins to doubt their new client. Finn doesn't share her worry until they capture two killers from Delta Force, who turn out to be working for senior officials in the U.S. to protect the smugglers.
When the enemy wears a U.S. flag, who do Finn and Mary trust?
