I enjoyed how calming this audiobook was and how it encouraged me to look at my thoughts and beliefs about money differently. The hypnosis format made it easy to slow down, relax, and focus on building a more positive mindset around abundance and financial goals. Mike Green finds himself in this situation when he uncovers the case of Delilah Grennan, a murdered Soviet dissident connected to the Russian underworld. I enjoys how his curiosity gradually turns into an obsession that begins affecting his thoughts and sense of reality. The involvement of intelligence agencies, organized crime and a powerful political family adds another layer of danger, especially when loyalty and betrayal become difficult to separate. I also found the psychological side intriguing, particularly how Delilah's voice begins to blend with Mike's own. The 1996 Washington, D.C., setting and morally complicated characters make the mystery even more interesting. Although the multiple perspectives may require careful attention, I appreciate how the story explores more than political conspiracies. It also raises questions about identity, trust, survival and how much someone might be willing to sacrifice to uncover the truth.
