About this listen

At 35, Gina Bourque is still playing the field. If he’s single, in his early 20s with dark hair and brooding eyes, there’s a damn good chance you’ll find him in her little black book.

Jeffrey Ryan never imagined that at nearly 40 he’d find himself widowed and a single dad. But here he is - stumbling through this thing called life with two impressionable daughters watching his every move.

When Gina and Jeffrey meet while cruising the Caribbean, sparks fly - but not in a good way. He’s too old. Too blond. Too stiff. Yet she’s still drawn to him like a moth to a flame. She’s too vulgar. Too sassy. Too wild. But she ignites something inside of him he can’t ignore.

We all know what happens when you play with fire...someone’s bound to get burned.

Second in series is second best. More ridiculous but funny scenarios and kidscapades, and some truly touching moments.
There were a few inconsistencies in characterisation and pronunciation that jarred, so while Virginia Rose and Joe Arden did a fairly decent job, I preferred the narration on book 1.

I love this book. It hits all the right spots, won’t fail to make you laugh out loud and has all the spice.
20/10 for me

When Gina and Jeffrey meet the sparks begin to fly. But his being a single dad means he will always put his two adorable girls first.
Excellent narration from Joe and Virginia making this audio book a well deserved 5 ⭐️

Good story with the wife … but overdone to dramatic, to much unrealistic stuff that was not needed with the dolphin etc
