What a great book for someone like me. I have always felt like I’m not good enough. And it doesn’t help when people around me remind me of my failures. Dave Bresnahan gives great information from his own life and how he found a way to succeed even when everything and everyone was against him. He started out with nothing, and was flat broke, like me. If he could get through his challenges and have such great successes then so can I. I will listen to this book more than once.

I’m 15 and I started taking acting classes. I want to be a film actor and it was hard to find a book that tells the story of how someone actually started from nothing and made a success of being and actor and director of a big film. What a great story. I’m charge up to do the same.

Most authors don’t do a good job of narrating their own book. This one is the exception. This is a great listen. He sounds so natural and yet professional. You can sense his genuine sincerity. It’s like he was talking just to me. Made me feel like this is something I can really do. Something I want to do. Once was not enough. I’m going to listen again, then I’ll give it a go.

I want to be an actor, and when I saw that this book was written by a successful film actor, writer, director, and producer I had to get it. I love hearing his story from being an extra all the way up to making an award winning film. Impressive. His story motivates me to achieve my goals.
