This story bears no relation to the description. Not a captivating read, characters not likeable except perhaps for the victim. Gave up before the end. Revolves around research & some animal experimentation. Nothing to do with a woman living with her dog or the victim being found in a frozen lake?

Well this wasn't the expected storyline, I've read a couple of this series, don't particularly like the characters but the stiry is usually good, gave up with this one.
