Summary

Emergency room doctor Rachel Wilde and detective Grant Murphy meet by chance and it takes only one glance and a simple, gentle touch to ignite their senses.

When Grant's wife is in a tragic accident, Rachel goes above and beyond the call of duty to save her life. It is the moment she faces Grant again that their lives begin to spin out of control and they realize the lives of their loved ones were deeply intertwined.

The distorted loyalties of the ones they lost will drive a wedge between them and it will take another death, a last will, and a look beyond the grave to find the path they must follow.

Distorted Loyalty

This story with a touch suspense started really good. I was so certain I was going to enjoy it until the end ! The flirting between Rachel and Grant at the beginning was light and fun , the characters were engaging and I was pleasantly surprised at the portrayal of the adolescents in the book.

Get ready for a heartwarming romance

This book starts out with great suspense. As Rachel and her son meet up with the son's girlfriend, and her father is with her. There's innocent flirting, and then the wife shows up and is struck down while her family watches. Rachel turns out to be a doctor and immediately begins working on the wife. Unfortunately, she is unable to save her, and the husband immediately starts to blame her. The son is determined to attend the burial and Rachel hangs back, so as not to upset the husband. To her surprise, she finds her own husband lurking there in the background and you think, 'Aha, I know where this is going. I've read many stories like this; cheating husband is caught and now they have to put the pieces of their marriage back together.' Only you don't know! Stacy Eaton has fooled us and takes the story in a very unique direction. I loved the suspense in this book and would have listened all in one day if it weren't for obligations getting in the way. The characters are definitely interesting and the story plotted expertly and worth the time and a credit. I absolutely loved the dual narration. The narrators did a superb job. Thank you Stacy, for the review copy of this book.

My Distorted Loyalty Review

Grant and Rachel meet at a local store one day while shopping with there teenage children. From the very first time they see each other they have a connection, but both are married to different people. In a cruel twist of fate, both end up losing there spouses in different ways.
Can they find love with each other or is fate just twisted enough to keep pulling them apart.

Loved the story, the plot was easy to follow and all of the characters were lovable. I laughed and I cried, it tore at my heart strings.

Distorted Loyalty

This book was great! A new author to me but will definitely be finding more books by her. This story has all the emotions from sadness to confusion, anger to empathy. And finally happiness at the end. This is definitely a book you will not regret reading or listening to.

This is definitely a 5 star listen by Author and Narrators

I’m going out on a limn here, not sure if this will ever be read by anyone else or help you decide if this story is worth your time. Distorted Loyalty can mean so many different things, and when you read a synopsis of a storyline you have to decide is this worth my time and money. In this case I was gifted this audible book by Jane Err, and the author Stacy Eaton, thank you so very much! But my point is this story will not disappoint. Yes it has angst, but its unique, with unusual circumstance, it’s complex, intertwined, with betrayal and gratifying love of a parent for their children and has a HEA.
My heart went out to the characters Rachael Wilde, Josh and Mark Thompson along with Grant, Alaina and Jazlynn Murphy, life throws curve balls at us all the time and we never know when they will land in our court if ever.
I am always in awe and intrigued at how an authors mind works and Stacy Eaton did not disappoint me, and I hope not you either.
This book will go at the top of my 2018 best listened to list.
P.S. I also need to mention that the dual narrators of this story did a fantastic job, I will look forward to more by Marie Rose and Chris Chamberlain in the future.

WOW WOW WOW!!!

Distorted Loyalty
:Stacy Eaton

How many ways can an author make the listener gasp, cry, and want to shout at the characters, or grab them in a big old bear hug. There are so many twists and turns the listener almost gets dizzy (In a good way).

I started this before work and I could not stop listening. It's a good thing I was working at a task that would have been boring, but I was held spellbound as I followed the clues. I had several "ah ha" moments when I got something right.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Marie Rose, Chris Chamberlain are an incredible narration team!!!

What’s meant to be will be...

Grant and Rachel meet in a store, where they’ve taken their teenage daughter and son, respectively, to shop. A spark passes between them moments before Grant’s wife is seriously injured in an accident outside the store. Rachel is an ER doc, and in spite of her valiant efforts, Grants wife dies. At first, Grant blames Rachel for not doing enough to save his wife and is a real d!ck! However, he later learns that Rachel went beyond the call of duty to save his wife. Meanwhile, Rachel’s husband is acting strangely and she is finding it hard to stay in her sham of a marriage when she’s attracted to Grant. Did I mention that their kids were dating for a bit? There are so many twists and turns in this book that I honestly refused to put it down until ‘The End’! There were gut wrenching moments, and moments when you wanted to throttle either Grant or Rachel...but the HEA was soooo worth it! Another quality, 5 star book by the author.

Emotionally involved!

Stacy Eaton has a way of writing that gets me completely emotionally involved. This is a story of circumstance, betrayal, fate and love. Rachel and Grant, both married, have a chance meeting in a store with immediate attraction. When Grant's wife is in an accident, Rachel, an ER doctor does everything she can to save her, but unfortunately cannot. This is when things get really serious. They find at every turn their lives are intertwined. Between their kids dating, and a surprise twist with Rachel's husband Grant and Rachel are constantly being thrown together just to pull each other apart. With wonderful supporting characters, like their kids Jazlyn and Josh, as well as Tom, Beth, and Peter the story flows with situations that may seem impossible, but at the same time are realistic. Eaton has written an amazing story of how difficult life can be, yet how easy the truth and love makes it easy. With a little suspense and paranormal hints, the story is intriguing and will keep you rooting for these two to find their happy ending.

The narrating team of Marie Rose and Chris Chamberlain is one that I really enjoy. They have very good chemistry with their duet narration and give this story a full array of emotions. I particularly love the dual POV with the duet included and they perform it masterfully.

When life gives you lemons

This was a first for this author and these narrator's for me but definitely won't be my last. I don't even know where to start with this story because I feel like most of what I want to talk about would be spoilers!

This story has so much drama and sadness and crazy yet it doesn't seem over-the-top. Rachel and Grant have a chance meeting that forever and entangles their lives. Little did they know that their lives were already entangled. While trying to understand the tragedies that befall both of them and exploring the pull that they feel between each other life just seems to keep throwing one thing after another at them. This story will captivate you, I finished it in a day I just couldn't stop listening!

While the romance is very sweet and tame so you won't need to worry about listening in public you may not want to listen with other people around because chances are it may make you cry or gasp out loud.

Rose and Chamberlain are a dynamic duo.

She thought she understood love. Turns out she knew nothing at all. I was drawn to Distorted Loyalty by two things. The complicated plot and the dual narration. Stacy Eaton weaves an intricate tale of betrayal, pain and new beginnings that  is realistically profound. Rachel and Grant are caught up in a firestorm.  There is no dousing the flames of emotional revelations, temptation and heartache headed their way.  Rose and Chamberlain are a dynamic duo when it comes to tugging at the heart.

wow this audible goes threw a lot of emotions

his story is filled with so many emotions, twists, tragedies and secrets. Grant and Rachel met through their kids. There's an attraction but there are complications. They are married to other people. Secrets are revealed and life changes bring them back to each other.
You need to read the book to see what happens. There is betrayal, jealousy, misunderstandings, lies, and love. I didn’t want to put the book down.

Rachel and Grant’s lives are intertwined in more ways than they could have expected.
