Summary
Labels, Labels Labels! They can be helpful when shopping for clothes and food, but on people can be a little restrictive. Given to us by society, given to us by family, or even social media - what do any of them actually mean? And how far do they go in defining who we really are?
Two black British millennials, Lady T and Tobi Rachel, explore labels and identity in conversation with someone they’ve admired from afar for years. Adjoa Andoh is a star of stage and screen. With roles ranging from Doctor Who and Richard II to Bridgerton in a career spanning several decades, Adjoa is a force to be reckoned with.
Over three chapters they dig into her West Country beginnings, her artistic success and her faith. With the help of contributors who will all share an aspect of Adjoa's life, each chapter will look to expand the boxes that society attempts to squeeze her into.

It really resonates with me . Would love to hear more of similar. It’s extremely challenging trying to remove the labels people have put on me

I was completely engaged with Adjoa Andoh story.
It was captivating, moving and told by her, extremely well.
I did not hesitate to pass discover me onto a good few friends who can relate and we will definitely be in debate on our Epping forest walk with a dash of hot mulled wine good company and great conversation.

Loved it!
I have listened to so many audiobooks narrated by Adjoa Andoh, so, in a way, she has been a part of my life for many years. But it was incredible to listen to her, tell her stories and talk about her experiences with Tobi Rachel and Lady T. I hope they will produce more such shows.

My new favourite podcast
I loved every single second of this podcast and can't remember the last time something spoke so resonantly to me. I will listen to it many more times in the future in order to extract every last drop of the wisdom that Adjoa Andoh and the other speakers brought to it. She is an extraordinary woman, and huge thanks to the creators for illuminating her story.

Adjoa Andoh is a legend and an inspiration.
A great opportunity to meet Adjoa Andoh - the smart, funny, passionate, articulate actor whose voice I know best from her narrations of the Eva Ibbotson books which were the soundtrack of my children’s childhoods. She comes across as an admirable human being with a fierce intelligence and determination to fully live her life. Next family trip with my now grown up children we’re listening to this!

Enlightening
It opened my eyes to the fact that racism is still a problem, unfortunately. And these women are not having it and are establishing their own lives with dignity despite it. I enjoyed listening.
