About this listen
"Get me some ghosts," said Fulton Snoddle-Brittle. "Frightful and dangerous ghosts!" Fulton has gone to the Dial-a-Ghost agency with an evil plan. He wants to hire some truly terrifying ghosts to scare his nephew Oliver to death.
But Oliver likes ghosts. And the peculiar ones he meets at Helton Hall decide at once to help him outwit the wicked Snodde-Brittles.

"You'll love this chain-rattlingly, blood-oozingly hilarious story." ( Daily Telegraph)
Imagine my surprise and delight when the hero of this (randomly) downloaded story has asthma! It features a quite realistic terror related asthma attack, and prominently features an inhaler.
Oliver (our hero) inherits a huge mansion. His evil cousins find out about his asthma and decide to trigger an attack by hiring some particularly evil and vicious child hating ghosts. They hope this will kill him. There is a mix up at the agency and what Oliver actually gets is a ghostly guardian family who become his best friends.
The language is quite strong; so not for very young children or nervous types. There is blood, and lots of implied violence. I would however recommend this for any children over the age of 6 who are prone to asthma or breathing problems. It allowed myself and my son to discuss Oliver and his breathing problems, throwing light on how scary or not it can be.
A must for young boys with Asthma
