it was okay

good enough that I finished, but I had a hard time getting into this continuation of the Watcher Chronicles, if I hadn't read all of those first I never would've been able to finish these two books. Cailyn is so petulant and childish (well, because she's a CHILD) and the whole soulmates/attraction/love with Aiden is really creepy. The author should've picked up their love story when Cailyn was already 18. It just gave me the creeps, as much as I liked the Aiden character, I couldn't get passed him being a full grown man with a huge and vast sexual appetite being interested in a 14 year old girl...I absolutely love the original series, but each continuation loses a little bit for me.

Eye rolls an ok break from matches and marshmallows

I find it hard to follow 17-year-old Kalynn in the story. In the watcher series Jess was 22 when she met Mason I feel as though we could have waited until Kaylan was at least 18/19 before she even found out about Aiden like they should have hid him away or he hide from her not allow her to see him. I found myself getting very frustrated yelling Caylen youre a child you are a child you’re 17 years old he is millennia years old(Lmaoooooooo)! this is so fncking stupid. The whole time I’m silently screaming “she’s a fncking child!” And then here comes stereo typical black sassy auntie Tara “Yall better say yo grace now! I don’t know how you were raised but we say I’m grateful we eat me you ain’t nobody perfect except for Gwad” ughhhhh I think you guys will enjoy Malcolm though... it’s like a different author writing in the same series

Another Winner!

A well done 2 book series describing the life of Caylin and how she contributes to the ‘Watcher Series’. Continues to be as the rest of the ‘Watcher’ series with plenty of emotion, action, mystery, suspense and romance.

Sweet with an edge to it.

Ok, so I went ahead and read these 2 books about Caylin and Aiden thinking I wouldn't really like them that much but I was very pleasantly surprised on how much I truly loved them. It had all the main characters plus some new ones that grow on you. I understand that West kept this PG rating but I had hoped for more passion like Mason and Jess story but let me tell you that Aiden can bring hotness into any situation so it kept it interesting. Loved the LOL moments again but it is pretty funny when Caylin makes Aiden blush, which to be honest is weird because he's "been around the block" for centuries that I'm surprised he can blush. I would definitely NOT skip these 2 books because it explains so much and opens the doors for the upcoming Alternate Earth series. Now on to reading Aiden's story!
