This is the first book in this series that I have read or listened to, and I enjoyed it. The characters are all believable and well written and their characters are brought out by the very good narration. I think that my enjoyment may have been enhanced by reading some of the earlier books in the series as I believe that the relationships between the characters would have been better explained as they developed through the series.
The plot line is clever, with the descriptions of two cases, a bombing at Denver International airport and a lost hunter in the mountains being interwoven. As an animal lover I enjoyed the passages where the canines are featured.
There are some very exciting incidents, mainly concerning bombs, which are very well written and generate real tension.
I thought that there was a great balance between the domestic issues, like Caitlin's pregnancy and her step son playing truant and the professional work of the US Deputy Marshalls and the FBI.

This is one of the best stories of the series so far. It’s full of twists, turns, intrigue and there’s all sorts of shenanigans going on. I was engrossed from the start. I loved it. Couldn’t stop listening. What on earth is the next one going to be like, cannot wait to find out. Highly recommended listen.

Another excellent book in this series.

From the moment you start the first page it's a non stop thrill ride of twists and turns.

What sets these books apart is that they don't only focus on solving the crime, they have a wealth of warmth for the characters themselves, how their lives and relationships are changing and the extra challenges this brings to everything that are trying to achieve

With characters you genuinely care about, crimes to solve and gorgeous dogs to boot, this book is a highly recommended read.

This is a riveting, fast-paced, suspenseful, action thriller, full of a range of human emotions and difficult situations by one of my favourite authors. There’s multiple storylines which weave and blend throughout the book. Deputy Marshall Caitlin Reed and her K9 Renegade are tasked with investigating the bomb attacks around Denver airport. It works as a standalone, but it is part of a great series. The audiobook is well-narrated and hugely entertaining. Highly recommend.
