what a fun quick read. Lacy Laurel and DC Cole aced this narration. I enjoyed this story so much. I am looking forward to so much more. I will definitely be looking at more books by this author

This is the perfect book that shows sometimes you have to go through something hard to get what you need. Because of a heartbreaking situation Desi finds herself single and without a job. When she finds her new job little does she know she will find her hea. I loved these two characters together. They are the perfect half of each other and I can see their future full of many happy times. Great book with just as great narration that pulled you in for the ride.

Fate is the cause of so much, and this story proves it! Destiny, in an attempt to make her jerk of an ex jealous kisses a random stranger at Octoberfest. This kiss, full of passion like she never experienced lingers on her mind, but she will never see the stranger again. But fate steps in, and Kash is there when she goes for a temp position. She can't possibly work for him with their past, or can she? London Saint James gives us a story of chance meetings and how destiny takes over. Desi is a great character, insecure after dealing with her horrible breakup. Kash is an arrogant, sexy man who knows what he wants. Together we get to see where life and love take them, and see what their "destiny" is.

Lacy Laurel and DC Cole narrate this novella and I loved every minute of it. Laurel gives Desi the inflections that we have all felt, from hurt and frustration to love and hope. It's all there just with her voice. DC Cole gives Kash that edgy, sexiness with a slight vulnerability. His voice is full of that confidence that makes Kash the one we want! The story is full of that fantasy of meeting the perfect match by chance and the narration brings it all together!

The story itself wasn't bad but the execution could have been better. There was a rather technical issue I didn't like, the muddy timeline. It felt like the author had multiple concepts regarding the execution of the book and couldn't commit to a single one thus making a bit of a mess of the story. Other than that it was okay.

Comparing the two narrators I liked D.C. Cole's parts a lot better. I liked his voices. The overall quality of the recording (both narrators) was even throughout the whole book so it's also a plus.
